Caffeine is a bitter white crystalline xanthine alkaloid that acts as a psychoactive stimulant drug and a mild diuretic. Caffeine was discovered by a German chemist, Friedrich Ferdinand Runge, in 1819. He coined the term kaffein, a chemical compound in coffee, which in English became caffeine. Caffeine is also a common ingredient of soft drinks such as cola, originally prepared from kola nuts. Soft drinks typically contain about 10 to 50 milligrams of caffeine per serving. By contrast, energy drinks such as Red Bull contain as much as 80 milligrams of caffeine per serving.

The periodic table of elements
I arrived at this place to shoot Pelicans too early because the early sunrise blasted, overexposed too many pictures as these birds came in from the east. / So as usual I waited and marveled at what it takes to get a couple of good pictures. The sun overhead or behind you, the target(Pelicans) must arrive in a direction so the lens can calibrate their speed as they cometh towards you! / Today I got lucky.

Currently Im sitting at my computer after consuming a can of Mountain due. Its got me totally wires and and feeling all out of sorts. It turns out it has a number of questionable ingredients in it in cluding Sodium Benzoate thats like to hyperactivity and can potentially destory your mitochondrial DNA, scary stuff! Prolong your life – Avoid Mountain Dew! I have just come back and read what i tried to type above, I’m all over the shop! I will leave my badly typed and confusing description as factual evidence to prove that mountain dew is bad for you, very bad!
The symbolism of this piece is quite rich, and in further researches I found out that I ended up making relations between all the representations without consciously being aware of it. The Chemistry is about inner alchemy and how the power of transformation manifests itself through Will. That’s basically my version of the ancient illustrations on alchemy in which we see a dragon-serpent “wrapping” a maiden. In my version, for artistical reasons, I decided not to draw the serpent involving the maiden’s body, but putting her closer to the background, and showing her body changing according to the colors of the environment – which are the colors of the four elements. The serpent is a representation of the unconscious forces of Will. The maiden raises from a pond (the beginning of all things, regeneration, new birth) that has been formerly muddy and still (the dark green color at the edges), and now is made clear by the power of fire (strength, courage, will, passion), or the dragon. A bunch of monarch butterflies come out the pond. The butterfly is one of the symbols of the Gemini sign (Mercury) and the classical representation of regeneration and rebirth. The maiden’s hair turns first into green grass from which 3 lotus flowers (another symbol of rebirth) arise, and then into fire. The dragon’s head show itself among the profusion of hair. The four elements are clearly present, in images and colors: Fire (dragon’s head, the top of the picture, the color red), Earth (grass and leaves, the color green), Air (butterflies, the color yellow) and Water (the pond, the color blue). It’s part of our journey as human beings to face muddy waters throughout our life. But to remain stagnant in them is our choice. We all have the inner strength to being born again, to rebuild ourselves – we just need to accept the changes and look toward the future. a huge huge thank you to shelly for allowing me to use her images to amuse myself today while I was recovering. Thanks shelly your da bomb. Chemistry and destiny Take a mixture; we come together and bond our entities / Compounded chemically because we have this chemistry / Homogenous in our sensibilities and sparking together electrically / Flowing like electrons in a sea of tranquility and conductivity / Who we are together is the same as who we are separately / You show me your strengths and weaknesses and I’m drawn effortlessly / Our attraction is mutual and natural as we are drawn by affinities / Positivity proves it’s something more powerful than can be explained by electronegativities / Because all I do is think about you constantly in all my activities / Hoping you will come to me so we can be one from now until a million infinities / Bonding covalently; Something science doesn’t need to explain is our destinies / Because you get me; spiritually, physically, emotionally and mentally / An angel that wasn’t sent, but who was simply meant for me / We were meant to be / How you felt to me / Melted me / Sentimentally / Grown from wilted seeds / We shine like metal and alchemy / Rolling through life like tumbleweeds / We bend to compromise malleably / I look at you as a woman admirably / And it so clear, it all makes sense to me / You fill my heart because we are density / Till the future it’s our propensity / To have a love that is essentially / Infinite in understanding and sensitivity Just you and me baby because our cumming together is based on physically reactivity / The love in our chemistry and destiny explained by the beauty in our theory of relativity /
Who says I must… / establish my boundaries – / define, maintain and strengthen myself / if that needs to be done at another’s expense? / As…
Someone – probably my therapist, lol – told me once that I needed to establish clear, strong boundaries so I wouldn’t be “taken advantage of” by someone to whom I thought I offered nothing but love. I’ve never really believed in boundaries….I don’t think women are particularly good at them in any case. George Eliot – “Many things are difficult and dark to me; but I see one thing quite clearly – that I must not, cannot seek my own happiness by sacrificing others.” Apologies to scientists – particularly chemists – for the literary license I’ve taken with the concept of atomic structure and bonding. Chemistry is not my strong suit but even I know that in actuality the ionic bond formed by one of these “greedy” atoms with a weaker one is stronger than the covalent or metallic bonds which I indicate here are preferable. However, it is the principle of shared electrons, of malleability, and the creation of a whole new substance from the original elements that most appealed to me.
