One of the lilies in my mystery arrangement…...I did finally find out that a very old friend of mine sent them to me…..Which was a very sweet gesture….and they are gorgeous….so…heres another glimpse of them…I am trying not to flood too many pictures…and will space them out over the winter…..that way at least it stays cheery in my little bubble….:)

A friend asked me to do something cute and cuddley to offset all of the dark and morbid works that have been filling the bubble lately….if this doesn’t do it, I’m putting away the pencils!
Captured 12/13/2008 on a very frigid morning at Cherry Creek State Park, here in Colorado, I froze my damn keester off because I was dense and forgot to bring along my damn jacket! It was an incredible sunrise folks, one which I won’t forget, the colors changed and developed by the minute, going from the cool blues to the warm pinks, reds, and oranges…and I was able to get something in the shots which I had never had been able to before, the lake actually shimmering! In some of the other shots in days to come, you can really see this, and you kind of can here in the bottom left side a tad, an odd occurrence, and one I finally managed to snag! Long exposure, using my Singh-Ray CPL and Marumi ND4, on my Minolta 18-70 DT Lens, I hope ya all like it, let me know what ya think! / —-John !
Captured high above Cherry Creek Reservoir outside of Denver Colorado, cosidering how cold it was, the warmth of the colors from the sunrise kept me a little on the warm side! The Marina lies empty below, awaiting Spring to return, which isn’t to far off I suppose. Anyways, I kinda lucked out on this shot considering I was standing on a 2 lane road with no pull off’s….thank goodness for no traffic! / —-John
These happy daisies are to celebrate my 300th upload to redbubble. MY BUBBLESITE
Butterflies are Free Don’t close your hand / Just close your eyes / And I will stay right by your side / And if this world turns cruel & cold / Look to the skies / Don’t you see the truth? / The power of one, the power of two / The power of me loving you CHORUS: / Butterflies are free / Free to come and go / Free to spread their wings / Know that I know / You’ll come back to me / Cause love like butterflies are free You see a light / You hear the call / And if I don’t let you fly / I don’t know you at all So go on and roam / See all that you can / Born unto this earth a curious soul / You and you alone / can make you feel whole / But don’t I add truth / you’ve never known CHORUS The tighter the grip / The more you’ll resist / It’s human nature I suppose / But I’d rather be surprised by a kiss / Then under your control CHORUS Free to come and go / Free to spread their wings / Know that I know / You’ll come back to me / Cause love like butterflies are free CHORUS CHORUS Free to come and go / Free to spread their wings / You’ll come back to me / Cause love like butterflies are free Love this song, loved the movie in the 70’s too with Goldie Hawn and Edward Albert ;) This is an old pen and ink drawing that I did so long ago, photographed and edited in photoshop7 and Redfield plug-in fractilius ~ just keep reminding myself it is Spring…
My mum bought this beautiful “Gallery” Dahlia called “Pablo” for me for Mothers day!! that is different! It is such a beautiful cheery colour which would brighten any winter garden and is a joy to behold. This image is straight from the camera with text added in Photoshop. Taken with my Canon40DSLR macro lens, thanks for visiting
This paper daisy is such a wonderful colour. . There are many varieties of paper daisies but I haven’t seen an orange one before. This pretty little native flower is everlasting and is lovely in flower arrangements. Taken on the macro lens with my Canon 40DSLR camera, thanks for visiting

I just love Carolina wrens; they are perky and bursting with personality. This one seemed to be saying, “Chin up!” Makes me cheerful just to see him. The Carolina wren is known for its jaunty little poses, its upright tail, its distinctively long white eyebrow, and most of all its LOUD song! This little bird can belt out some tunes! Their movements are rapid and erratic and unlike some songbirds that linger at the feeders, the Carolina wren usually is very hasty about getting its grub and leaving abruptly which makes it hard to photograph as a result. Though they have occasionally made nests in nesting boxes, they seem to prefer hanging baskets for their domain. They build little igloo-like dwellings lined with soft mosses and lichens cleverly concealed within a fern or other such plants. Usually, the first time I notice their presence in one of my hanging baskets is during a routine watering when the wren comes charging out of hiding, sometimes barely missing my head! A cute little neighbor all around!
A lovely flower taken with a Sony a700 50mm f/3.5 macro lens added a bit of fractalius and viola warmth of summer sun! / Redfield Plugin Fractalius
Have yourself a merry little Christmas, / Let your heart be light / From now on, / our troubles will be out of sight Have yourself a merry little Christmas, / Make the Yule-tide gay, / From now on, / our troubles will be miles away. Here we are as in olden days, / Happy golden days of yore. / Faithful friends who are dear to us / Gather near to us once more. Through the years / We all will be together, / If the Fates allow / Hang a shining star upon the highest bough. / And have yourself A merry little Christmas now. / created with Incendia, Fractal Explorer & PSP
