A delightful close up painting of an orange cactus bloom surround with the cactus pear leaves, painted in reference to the many beautiful cactus that bloom in Las Cruces New Mexico. 12×12 x 1.5 oil on gallery wrapped canvas
Something fun – and cupcakes too!! I often make very whimsical images…. which you will see as my gallery grows. Rolling around in the grass all day paid off, haha..
I wanted to create something a little different and funky with a typical seasonal icon – the Christmas Tree. This is a new design style for me that I am really enjoying, and I hope to achieve an image that is bright and fun with a sweet side… / My entry for Holidays Greetings Competition / there are some fabulous entries, so be sure to check them all out, and don’t forget to vote
A friend asked me to do something cute and cuddley to offset all of the dark and morbid works that have been filling the bubble lately….if this doesn’t do it, I’m putting away the pencils!
Just had to post this. Spotted yesterday at Milang in South Australia, someone giving out Christmas cheer – using their used undies and the clothesline…. Some people have the ability to make others days with such simple gestures. This made mine!!!! Congrats to whomever it was….
The soul would have no rainbow if the eyes had no tears. (A painted bunting image revisited and made into a greeting card).

I am rejoicing at the birth of my brand new little great nephew who is all of two and half hours old as I write this! His mother’s entrance into the world 39 years ago made me an aunt for the first time! The joy is still the same, indescribably wonderful! I took this photo of a blue dasher dragonfly which seemed to be expressing my sentiments, “Whee!” Joy abounds when new life comes into the world, and I’m in a celebratory mood. I really think the dragonfly looks like it’s smiling just as broadly as I am right now. It’s a good day on Planet Earth!
