A little abstract in the style of Jerry Uelsmann, of Gilda the Gull in this one, nearly all b/w elements except for the bits of colour on Gilda herself. It was fun to do a ‘vertical’ one… Once again, I thank Robert Elliott for his ‘loan’ of Gilda the Gull for my use in this composite..;-)

The original painting is a 5×7 miniature work done with pencil and acrylic paint. This is a “free association” work that I did while watching the SciFi Channel’s mini-series “Tin Man”, which was a modern re-working of “The Wizard of Oz”. Dorothy’s face has merged with the tornado to dance across this checked game board in this surrealist image that I hope you will enjoy.
