The original painting is a 5×7 miniature work done with pencil and acrylic paint. This is a “free association” work that I did while watching the SciFi Channel’s mini-series “Tin Man”, which was a modern re-working of “The Wizard of Oz”. Dorothy’s face has merged with the tornado to dance across this checked game board in this surrealist image that I hope you will enjoy.

I Don’t Do Windows / ...I say, only in my dreams. Here, I used the Black and White room for something entirely different! The “sumi-e” effect reminds me of my pen and ink and watercolors; and it is used on each element in this piece. I desaturated each color in the model, and lightened most of them, to achieve a softer, washed color effect. Red was desaturated least. Digital work, after the sumi-e style. F.A.
