I am a purist with my photographs. I leave them untouched, after initial RAW developing but once I decide to use them for a creative design purpose all bets are off. I have created this series of woodcuts for a more stylized look at flowers.

This is a toon done originally for an editorial spot. The client let me pick different items from the column from which to create spot art. / You’ll notice the ‘mouth’ is wearing soccer cleats. The art was for a soccer editorial about coaches talking too much.

I believe this is a Catbird. I stopped at Wildwood Lake to see if I could get some Oriole pics, and this catbird landed nearby – so here it is! Taken 6/11/09 – Wildlwood Lake, Harrisburg, PA. / Natural color and background. / . / The Catbird is a slate gray bird with a black crown and a long thin bill. It is often seen with its tail lifted up. Nests in thick shrubs. Catbirds eat insects and fruit and migrate to southern states. The raspy call sounds like a house cat.
