The first time in my life I have had a two part dream.

This painting is of the view I saw walking through the portico of the convent building adjoining the San Felipe de Neri church. The cactus was not in bloom at the time, so I added those in for more color. This is located in Old Town, Albuquerque, New Mexico. All proceeds from this work are to be donated to the Philadelphia Mission to feed, clothe, and provide medicine and education to the starving children in Africa. Although to many of you this may look like an Leucanthemum, it isn’t. It’s an Osteospermum (in German "Kapkörbchen"). It belongs to the same plant family, though.

This photograph was taken in the Green Valley, AZ Arid Garden, the Green Valley Gardeners’ demonstration garden. I had been photographing the garden over more than a year and a half in color for a presentation to the group. I decided to do a series of photographs specifically for black and white to show that you don’t have to have color to show the beauty of the plants that grow there. Photographed with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ 50.

This was another one I did for Alisha’s Project.. Meant to convey sexual frustration.. See the hands pulling at the chains. The chains and pad lock represent a chastity belt and the undies are purple because the colour purple is said to be the colour of sexual frustration… (I wouldn’t know, but we looked it up and that’s one of the things listed that purple represents) Although it looks a little ‘I like to be tied up-naughty’ that’s not the idea.. I really liked how this one turned out. :) / I was looking up chastity belts on google and flickr to help us figure out how to make the idea work and came across gods emerald’s page and saw this awesome pic: / www.flickr.com/photos/godsemerald/2308355959/ / The chains and padlock were perfect to portray a chastity belt (seeing as we didn’t own one ourselves, haha)! :)
