Sunsets on Charleston Harbour…. Taken from Patriots Point Marina looking towards downtown Charleston
This was taken at Santee Canal Park another one of many historic parks in the charleston south carolina area. These windows are the original window which are made of lead glass which with a polorizer lens gives it a prism effect with the blues and purples!!!! No editing was done on this to give it that color!

A COLLABORATION WITH LINAJI / (Thank you very much for your excellent poem) Where Do You Love From…Really / Author: linaji Where Do You Love From? / Your pink painted toes? / Or the hollow of your sighs / As my tongue journeys unabashedly / Down the silk trails of your thighs Does my latent life scream Onlyness? / Echo Eons from the heart / Where do you / Love from / Live From / Darling / When do we ever start? History has changed much / Now that Eve did eat the snake, / She brought about apples only / For mother’s pie in Adam’s wake Where do you Love from / Really? / The marrow of your bones? / Is longing, loving and living here / A pirates chest of stones? What about your fingertips? / Dipping softly into my flesh, / Do I utter sighs with beggars eyes / Or do I let our two lips mesh? Do you feel from what is stillness / A time when lovers care, / Do you ooze the sweet-laced vapors? / That my focus on you dares, That moan / That cry / That primal stare / That leads me inside you / Elusive hips that ride your smile / And worlds outside the Que. / A passions mist that takes our lips / A fog beyond compare, / I lay here spent with one leg bent / And dream with you I dare.. Now,, Where do you Love from,,,, / Really. FROM PARIS SERIES: / UNE FEMME PENSIVE / GLAMOUR / / BELLE PARISIENNE / / CHARLESTON / / / BELLE DE JOUR / / / FEMME EN BLEU /

One day while out taking pictures we visited the Navy Base in Charleston, SC. I remember as a child going to the old hospital and inside with its dark dreaded walls however receiving the best of care in the 1960’s. Today the old hospital is still standing at the base which has been closed and a new hospital was built. The new hospital still provides limited care for local military personnel and families however with base closures and changes it too at this time does not provide the extent of care as when it was newly built.

Ooops – I should have ironed this before I photographed it. I love combining tecniques. This is a photo of a sculpture that I found at Charleston Farmhouse in Sussex, / I transferred it onto a piece of material and then added a bit of felt work and stitching. / Charleston Farmhouse is a beautiful old cottage that nestles below the South Downs near Berwick. / It was the holiday house of Vanessa Bell Duncan Grant, Virginia Woolfe and the Bloomsbury set. / I sat there on a Summers day and thought how wonderful it would be to create a place just like it where artists and creators could hang out and collaborate. Does anyone know whose head this is? Aphrodite maybe or is it Diana? / Does anyone know if we have a textile art group here?
I captured several images of this 1941 Ford Pickup Truck at the Charleston, West Virginia , International Auto Show. There were thousands of people at this show, so catching images without people in them was difficult to say the least, lots of up close shots :-) / *Standard engine in 1941 was Ford’s 221-cid flathead V-8 with 90 bhp, though a Mercury 239 with 95 bhp and the small Ford V-8/60 were optional. In mid-season, the V-8/60 was replaced by a 120-cid four-cylinder engine from the Ford 9N tractor-a curious choice, and not very popular. Nikon D40 18-135mm / Photomatix Pro. / HDR
Acrylic on 14”x11 canvas board I painted this from a photograph I took several years ago during a business conference in Charleston, SC. The city is filled with both Colonial and Civil War history. This scene is part of the historial waterfront where the framed rainbow houses are located.
This panel is part of a series I am doing in memory of Vanessa Bell who was the sister of my Spirit Guide Virginia Woolf. A few years ago when I was to finally visit Charleston Farmhouse – the country home of the Bloomsbury group I was very excited. It was a place I had always wanted to see and yet something had always occurred and prevented me from visiting the place. / After the initial visit and excitement I remember the train journey back to London. I started to feel very uneasy, almost unhappy and then I started to feel extremely sad. Although, the house was full of beautiful work and the Bloomsbury group had a wonderful collection of artefacts, I could feel great sadness. I couldn’t brush off the feelings of sadness. Everyone in the house was unhappy for different reasons. / Over the course of these years I have felt very close to many members of the Bloomsbury Group. / I started painting the panels this weekend. The first panel I dedicate to Vanessa Bell. Finally alone, without daughter / Or sons, my brush the only tongue moving, / Curves and hollows, Deep shadows and silver edges. / In the quiet, even the tiresome coal scuttle / Assumes a secret life. Sometimes, beneath the touchable surface, / Mine reveals itself, cobalt blue / Beneath the body’s apparent blush, Interlocking circles, intersecting lines, / It’s a particular window, north light, / Everyone else is sleeping. Look and look / And you can leave the material world / For a vanishing point. The Kanawha River in West Virginia meanders through the valley and mountains surrounding the capital city. The river is the trademark of commercial and recreational activity, and barges can be seen transporting coal daily. The Kanawha River also offers another venue for enjoyment as a water playground for the city and also is the foundation for the city’s annual Sternwheel Regatta celebration. / This is a shot of the Dickerson Street Bridge at night , Taken April 2009. / F/25 30 sec. / Nikon D40 18-135mm / Tripod/CPF / Featured in the “United States” & “You’re Accepted” Groups April 2009 / Featured in the “Night Photography” Group June 2009 / Featured in the “Nikon D40” Group September 2009 /
