  • Mini Me
    by Carmen Cilliers

    US$4.70–US$125.40

I defy anyone to tell me they do not recall a childhood memory of the trauma of having to leave the beach on their last day of school holidays. Yes, you are correct, this isn’t one of my best works of art, but I randomly scribbled around this afternoon, not really knowing what to do and just let my subconscious guide me. Well, this is what arose. I had titles going through my head like “The Tourists Head Home” or “Thank God School Holidays Are Over” then I thought who am I kidding – this is a self portrait of emotions – me! “Mini Me” So here’s an ‘artwork’ just for fun (if you can call this art – I dont know?) Pastel on A2 (no not my Schmienkies – I am petrified to use them)

  • This is a really quick charcoal sketch I did a few years ago that I pulled out while digging through some old work. Maybe it’s not the single greatest thing I’ve ever done, but I do think that the concept is interesting. Maybe? Maybe not? I dunno. Some of the sloppiness can be forgiven though, since this was really more of a sketch than anything. No? Maybe? Please? Leave me alone…I’m tired.
