The mischievous pixie NiaTa knelt beside the forbidden pool; she had abandoned her duty to trick intruders away from the woods, (or, if she was so inclined, to their deaths) and her incorrigible curiosity had led her to the glittering water. / Her wings fluttered with excitement as she reached out to touch her reflection. The other spirits of the woods whispered among themselves at the disturbance. / Ripples formed and NiaTa withdrew her hand, horrified at what she’d done… I’ve been creating some characters recently for painting inspiration, and I thought I’d draw this pixie character! I wanted to achieve a very speedy and painterly effect (which contrary to how it sounds, is pretty tricky and time consuming if you go into all the details) and though some of the trees seem off to me, I’m pretty happy with it. / Enjoy! =) Tools: Photoshop and Wacom / Time Consumed: Lost track. I think deep down I have a bit of a thing for pirates. When it came time to do this shoot I seemed to have an awful lot of pirate accessories just lying around waiting to be used. It was good to get it out of my system. Only problem is now I can’t stop thinking of excuses to take more pirate photos. A series that was created for my Imaging and Narrative for Storyboarding class at uni. The theme I chose to explore was the creation of an art work and how it comes to life. We were to continue this theme over four postcards but still have them work on their own. ....Aaaand I’m not sure whether to upload these seperately or not. Help!

This is the original Chinese character for love -爱, which was made 4000 years ago….carved on turtle shells or bronze untensils. It is a multi-dimentional drawing, a kind of Picasso, i think. You can figure out if you look carefully. It is how love was made by then….still the same actually :) What have you seen in this …..? / The top, the middle, left bottom conner:))) Very funny, there is an official explaination, it says the character Love was made by ” hands”casting ” fishing net” to catch the fish; since the first usage of this character was to form up a word ” fish love ”. But i can’t see there are hands and fishing net in this pictography but others :))) / Why ” love ” is connected with ” fish”?I think i know..they are so much related :) if you are an adult you know . Im not going to debate with any archeologist; I just believe my eyes, my sense and brain. For science we shall not be that much shy :)) What more I saw from this piece is how artistically advanced my ancestors were !! They were wonderful! / / / / / / / / /

Sleepy Hollow is a real community located near North Tarrytown, New York. The area is full of ghost stories including the one about the Headless Horseman, a dark and shadowy figure. / Its said that even in modern times the headless horseman rides, frightening motorists along Canton’s rural roads causing fear-based heart attacks or startles drivers to veer into a ditch to avoid hitting the frantic phantom. Survivors say that the beams of their car’s headlights shone right through horse and rider, making them almost invisible, until, suddenly, car and horseman seemed about to collide.
