I’m someone who actually likes change, because change often brings growth and awareness. When I’m with the practical and routine people in my life, they get a kick out of my unpredictability. I’m working right now on changing my thoughts and attitudes towards the world, because I know deep down that we are all connected. So, when there is war and anger in the world, I think about what I can be doing to change that into peace and tolerance. A pronounced change in color underway these Grand Teton National Park Aspens are getting ready for winter as the weather turns sour once again.

Green and gold aspen leaves mark a change of season for these very young aspen trees in Grand Teton National Park. Wyoming is a desert and rangeland but is also home to mighty mountains and nearly endless stands of aspens.

Falling leaves got caught in the tangle of slowly dying vine on our homemade trellis, and when I stood beneath the canopy I realized this one offered a golden window on the season.
