This is for Mike, one of the weather guys on the Cocos Islands. Everyday we would ask him what the forecast was, and everyday he would reply “Mostly fine, chance of a shower”! I guess this was the “chance of a shower” bit! Mike is a great guy with lots of wonderful stories from his time spent living all around Australia.

as is… / this was a lucky shot . I was shooting flowers when I saw this grasshopper standing on a basketball base and gave it a try without changing my camera settings, to be sure not to miss it (yes, I quite often scare them ! lol) / I liked the dof and how it peeks out of the smooth and light surrounding. / and how curious this little cutie looks ^^ / so here it is =)

This is a picture of Badem, a very famous seal in the Mugla area of Turkey. He travels the coastline from Bodrum to Fetiye seeking attention of all those he meets. / On 13 October 2008 we were in Akyaka with our friends (featured in the picture) and without a camera. They played with the seal for over an hour: all three enjoying the experience. I asked a local photographer, Bekir Tosun, if he would take a picture for our newly wed friiends.
