Little blue cornflower :) Featured in Live, Love, Dream
Champ, blue roan cocker spaniel, was my faithful companion growing up. As a child, I used to dress him up in my doll’s clothes and photograph him, and he was sooooo patient! A gorgeous dog! / This photo was featured in the red Bubble group Shades of Grey, and was voted 4th in the Mood & Ambience group challenge ‘Friends We’ve Lost’ It was also voted into the top ten of the Cats and Dogs group challenge ‘Cats and Dogs Artworks with Water” /
Champ likes pumpkin, he just about cleaned this one out, LOL! He had been outside and I let him in and noticed he had something orangy all around his neck mostly, couldn’t figure out what it was. After seeing the pumpkin all eaten out, it was then that we knew what he had done, silly boy! Best viewed larger
This image was taken about 10 days after severe thunderstorms in Paris at the end of 1999. There had been debris scattered all over the Champs de Mars, but once they’d cleaned everthing up, it looked almost too tidy. It was taken at approximately midday, and eerily, there was no one around.
Shot from the Arc de triomphe looking along the Chams Elysees. / If i am mistaken, please inform me. / Hdr’d from one Raw file.. / Shot witha NIKON D70s and 18-70mm lens. /
Feature All Pets Great and Small – 4/16/2009 This field of bluebonnets and Texas Indian Paintbrushes is growing in our neighborhood. We took Champ there yesterday (4/10/09) to take his first pictures in the bluebonnets. I tried to get a shot of him with the bunny ears on, but it didn’t come out very good. The sun was shining on one side of him and he kept taking the ears off, so I gave up. I made this collage of him, so many of them came out very well considering how bright the sun was shining on him. It was late, around 7:00pm, the sun was going down. We had the most beautiful sunset afterwards. Champ is now 14 months old, he is a border collie and a very smart, sweet boy if I might add! This photo of Champ was taken 7/14/08. He is American Border Collie Association (ABCA) registered and he is 5 1/2 months old. Again, here he is waiting as patiently as a border collie can for me to kick the ball. This is his portrait entry for the Our K-9 Friend contest that’s starts 7/16/08.
This is Champ, he is 6 months old now. He is one crazy dog. He loves to play with my son’s dog. He runs through the house and leaps onto the couch and then flies off the back of it onto the floor below. The other day he did it twice in a row and then ran up the recliner my husband was reclining in and jumped off the back of it. My hubby was laughing so hard, he couldn’t believe he did that. I missed it, I was on the computer in another room. It’s not the first time Champ has done that, and it won’t be the last. I hope to get it on video, he is such a nut :) Champ is a border collie with lots of energy, that should explain his crazy nut dog behavior. He’s a sweet nut!

the world’s largest triumphal arch, forms the backdrop for an impressive urban ensemble in Paris. / The monument surmounts the hill of Chaillot at the center of a star-shaped configuration of 12 radiating avenues. The view from top of the Champs Elysées you can see the smaller Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel in the Tuileries gardens, and from the Obélisque de Luxor in the place de la Concorde. More of the wonderful poppies up the road. While the French translation is Field flowers, the word Champs is rather appropriate for Remembrance Day. Those Soliders were our champions! The “Amazing Orton Effect” has been applied and the green desaturated a little.

Feature PEACE, LOVE, & TRANQUILITY – 2/14/09 This is Champ, chewing on one of hubby’s old tennis shoes back in the summer of 2008 on our front porch. I loved the way I captured his tongue on the shoelace, those questioning eyes “am I in trouble”? He is about 6-months old in this photo, he turned 1-year old on January 23, 2009. Champ is a border collie. This one’s for the Best Cat/Dog in Black & White Challenge in Cats and Dogs Group. Best viewed larger

Paris, France Feb 25/09 / Towards the Arc De Triomphe
On the left is 2007 ASP world champ Mick Fanning and i think Bobby Martinez is on the right.
Champ just loves the pumpkin, can’t you tell? He has taken some bites out of the side of my poor pumpkin. Champ is getting big, he will be 9 months old tomorrow 10-23-08. Still as sweet as ever, however he did destroy the girl ragdoll holding the basket of leaves in “Harvest Twins”. He is a border collie with lots of energy, when he gets bored, you’d better watch out, put those treasures up for safe keeping. He is just a pup and doesn’t know any better. He sures hates getting in trouble though. I thought this photo would make a great Thanksgiving card. Oh, and this is a bird’s eye view! Best viewed larger
The Champs de Ellesse leading up to the unmistakable Arc de Triomphe, I felt like doing something different with this someone unconventionally composed image. I really liked the way the empty street quickly turns into busy traffic especially the little car and then the bus with the gorgeous model on it. This was taken in June 07 on our Paris tour. I’ve tried a multi-layer processing technique on this image, blending a number of different techniques to make it the final look including selective blurring, high-pass filtering, but basically I kept trying things to see what worked well together.
