Sorry to bore you with my holiday snaps, but I couldn’t resist this shot of the hotel high above Chamonix in France looking down on the Mer De Glace (Sea of ice). The whole area stunned me with its beauty and the vastness of the mountains. It’s well worth a visit a visit if you’re in the area. /

This picture was taken from the top of the Aguille Du Midi, Mont Blanc is the snowy mound to the right of centre, the next two peaks moving to the left are Mont Maudit and then Mont Blanc Du Tacul.

This guy has been carving so long, its likely he carved out the mountains behind him. Set in the fresh alpine air of Chamonix in France, its little wonder he’s lived to such a ripe old age. Look at the care he places into every stroke.

Another shot of the Aguille du Midi, You can just make out the cables for the Telepherique (lift) that takes tourists up to 3842m above sea level. This picture was taken in May this year, so the weather was fairly good, most of the snow you can see stays all year round
