Based on the theme for the weekend t-shirt challenge. In 2258, only fragments of our physical bodies will be left … ” The Ninth Insight – The Emerging Culture As we all evolve toward the best completion of our spiritual missions, the technological means of survival will be fully automated as humans focus instead on synchronistic growth. Such growth will move humans into higher energy states, ultimately transforming our bodies into spiritual form and uniting this dimension of existence with the after-life dimension, ending the cycle of birth and death.” From the Celestine Prophecy New age mumbo jumbo but it provided a nice bit of inspiration ;) The bones are taken from old anatomy drawings (public domain). I thought the annotation/numbering was a nice touch so I left it in.

  • Nat Tyler and Agent Provocateur have asked What’s your vision for the future? in a weekend T-shirt design challenge. The year 2258? It’s pretty hard for me to imagine a bright future right now. The lure of hover cars and pretty much everything we were promised in Back to the Future II is far outweighed by the thought that we’re pretty well fucked. What did we do with all that oil, all that coal, all those resources? We burned it.

  • Alice found her wants and needs change rapidly when she was ripped from her printed childrens book, then scanned onto a computer and put through all these weird filters. / All of sudden, she didn’t want to play with the small furry animals anymore… she wanted to stab the small furry animals. / Well… that’s progress. Something different for me… public domain images with filters…weird shit. I changed the original wording & spelling to stop confusion, it was a bad play on words. / After a hundred attempts i think I got the black version looking half ok

  • This is an entry into the Agent Provocateur T-shirt Challenge…. The theme – your vision of the future. What do you think life will be like in 250 years? More info here I do not hold much faith in humanity unfortunately… hence my design is a little depressing, but perhaps something that needs to be considered. • My entry for the Ap weekend challenge. This is something totally different for me, and while I can`t say that I`m particularly happy with the results it`s been a fun excercise, and worthwhile purely for that alone. All these images were cut out of a magazine, arranged in photoshop, printed out, cut, scratched and torn up, then re-scanned. After being so used to working on the structure and clarity of my lines, this was like trying to perform surgery with a blunt rock The inspiration for the image was taken from one of my favorite Janes Addiction songs, “Ted, Just admit it.” Lyrics: / camera got them images / camera got them all / nothing’s shocking… / showed me everybody / naked and disfigured / nothing’s shocking… / and then he came / now sister’s / not a virgin anymore / her sex is violent… the t.v.’s got them images / t.v.’s got them all / it’s not shocking! / every half an hour / someone’s captured and / the cop moves them along… / it’s just like the show before / the news is / just another show / with sex and violence…

  • I know I’m a day late for the Agent Provocateur something different challenge but this one was a struggle! In the end I decided to combine all the things I wanted to try into one. There’s some pixel action, a bit of black on black and even some braille. The song I’ve chosen is Leif Erikson by Interpol. If you haven’t heard this song you must go and buy the album now. It’s worth it just for this track and NYC. The braille idea comes from the opening lines and the red on the shirt represents the lyrics “brief things” in braille. She says It helps with the lights out / Her rabid glow is like braille to the night. / She swears I’m a slave to the details / But if your life is such a big joke, why should I care? The clock is set for nine but you know you’re gonna make it eight. / So that you two can take some time, teach each other to reciprocate. She feels that my sentimental side should be held with kid gloves / But she doesn’t know that I left my urge in the icebox / She swears I’m just prey to the female, / Well then hook me up and throw me, baby / cakes, cuz I like to get hooked. The clock is set for nine but you know you’re gonna make it eight. / All the people that you’ve loved they’re all / bound to leave some keepsakes. / I’ve been swinging all the time, think it’s time to learn your way. / I picture you and me together in the jungle it will be ok. I’ll bring you when my lifeboat sails through the night / That is supposing you don’t sleep tonight It’s like learning a new language / Helps me catch up on my mime / If you don’t bring up those lonely parts / This could be a good time / You come here to me. / We’ll pick up those lonely parts and set them down / You come here to me… She says brief things, her love’s a pony / My love’s subliminal

  • My submission to the Agent Prov challenge. An exceptionally disturbing vision of the future… You think seeing some lizard creature from outer space would freak you out? Imagine what would happen if you saw one of these suckers coming out of a flying saucer. Yeah, you’d run. Cause this time – he ain’t just interested in the cats… jL

Okay, this is been haunting my head for a few days so hopefully having done it I can move on to something more coherent. This is my entry for the Agent Provocateur t-shirt challenge ‘Something Different’ Detail: / This is different for me because it’s more abstract and has no real obvious message. Below is the song that inspired the image. If You Were There, Beware / If you were there, beware / The serpent soul pinchers / Three hundred and fifty no thank yous and nobody flinches / Go on girl go on, give us something gruesome / We require your grief, the thugs help the thieves / As they’re trying to rob the words from her gob / Take the source of the innocents Lyrics by the Arctic Monkeys

  • Mash of public domain images. Patrick J Lynch medical illustration.

  • Was reading Sjem’s challenge here and decided to see what I could come up using some designs that I already had. Not as hard-hitting as some of the other excellent concepts the group members have submitted, but it has a simple retro feel to it and reminds us that even back in the very beginnings of television, it was being used as an electronic wet nurse.

  • For the Agent Provocateur T-shirt Challenge How long until cloning takes over. When we have gotten to the point where our bodies can no longer fight the man made virulent strains of bacteria and viruses. Or when the UV is so strong that we cannot handle going outside. Will we blend those qualities in humans that can survive and create a race of individuals that are no longer individuals?

  • Please know that I have no problems with a whole bunch of kids getting together and enjoying celebrating their faith. What annoys me is the fact that the laws of our country have been changed to make some of the freedoms we celebrate illegal. That sucks. For the AP World Youth Day Challenge

  • My entry for the AP challenge, something a bit different and based on a song by the Rolling Stones. Paint it black I see a red door and I want it painted black / No colors anymore I want them to turn black / I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes / I have to turn my head until my darkness goes / I see a line of cars and theyre all painted black / With flowers and my love both never to come back / I see people turn their heads and quickly look away / Like a new born baby it just happens evry day / I look inside myself and see my heart is black / I see my red door and it has been painted black / Maybe then Ill fade away and not have to face the facts / Its not easy facin up when your whole world is black No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue / I could not foresee this thing happening to you / If I look hard enough into the settin sun / My love will laugh with me before the mornin comes I see a red door and I want it painted black / No colors anymore I want them to turn black / I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes / I have to turn my head until my darkness goes / Hmm, hmm, hmm,... / I wanna see it painted, painted black / Black as night, black as coal / I wanna see the sun blotted out from the sky / I wanna see it painted, painted, painted, painted black / Yeah! Written Mick Jagger & Keith Richards. / Performed by the Rolling Stones.
