Watercolor on watercolor board, original available. This painting is about empowerment, knowing one’s own worth, honoring oneself but respecting others as well. Its about having confidence in one’s abilities yet keeping the heart open. A closed mind gradually contracts and narrows, the open mind expands and illuminates. I intend this painting to convey the following message to anyone looking at it.: May Goddess light illuminate the very core of your being, may your heroine’s light shine forth. May this light ignite inner strength, and inspire bravery in all circumstances. May you walk the path of peace, the most difficult and challenging journey of all, with purpose and grace. The 5th Chakra is located at the throat and is a bright blue. It governs communication and personal magnetism. It is the chakra that most influences intercommunication and our “personas.” It is also the link between emotion and thought. / I came up with this as I was Communicating with TeriLee this morning.. It was a beautiful exchange of ideas and with Art I can deeply express the feelings I was having with her.. We were in our 5th Chakra Mode… Bliss. Our fellow Artist and Friend Kumar Bellani has been kind enough to supply us with the Mantra specifically for this Chakra: Mantra “AYM” (like AIIIIM) – chant this mantra for wisdom, higher learning, teaching ability, and the gift of convincing speech. Connected with the Goddess Saraswati, this mantra is the most important mantra after OM. / *OM AYM SARASWATYE NAMAHA

Coloured pencils & Gold Art Pen on paper. This Mandala was created over many months; a process of adding form and colour grew from a desire to “put some pieces back together” in my life. .. It became a piece I could return to when the feeling arose, a gradual shift of focus onto the glorious, bright and colourful parts of my life. I call it a clown chakra as that is how I imagine mine might look! Traditionally, chakras relate to the energy centres within a person, whereby the life force flows through. This is really a playful and cheeky approach to depicting an “energy centre” I have visualised.
