I tried to capture a very strong ‘editorial’ image with this one. Not so easily noticed at first but that is Chairman Mao’s proud, victorious back turned to the people who’s land he invaded and in which his people now exploit. Kind says it all I think.

He was chairman of the / UN 1953 – 1961. / This was an era of ´Cold War´ in the world and he had / to deal with a series of difficult crises.He made reforms / to strengthen the authority of his office, and in 1956 he / established the United Nations´Emergency Force (UNEF). / He found it necessary for the UN to assert itself as a / neutral power between the two dominant nations, the / USA and the USSR, who tended to interfere with smaller / countries. / In 1957 he used the UNEF to intervene in the Suez Crises. / Swedish and Finnish troops were among the first to serve / in UN peace operations.
