A dad’s appeal to his prodigy

This is the lower falls of the Chagrin River in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. I was very pleased with how this turned out, especially considering my kind of cheap camera – no postwork necessary! These were my cheapy camera settings: Kodak EasyShare Z885 I had the settings on “Landscape (used for distant scenery)” / My flash may or may not have been on…sometimes it likes to play tricks on me. It wasn’t supposed to be on, because the sun was to my left and hitting the falls. But it very well might have been. I think that’s pretty much it. I wasn’t trying to go for just a “snapshot,” though. These falls are really beautiful, and I was hoping to get a good picture. I’m trying to find myself, artistically, and I can’t help it if I can’t afford a good camera.

This is another shot of the lower falls of the Chagrin River in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. We’ve just had a decent amount of rain, so it was pretty much impossible for my puny little camera to capture the water coming off the cliffs well, but as you can see, it got the detail of the rock and plants very well. I used: Kodak EasyShare Z885 with the “scenery view” / The flash wasn’t supposed to be on…but with my camera, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t on.

This little niche can be found next to the large falls of the Chagrin River in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. I thought it was very interesting how time and water had carved out that tunnel and only the smallest organisms have ever seen inside it. I didn’t have to do anything to the photo; this is how it turned out.
