Whenever I’ve heard older couples interviewed, the older gentlemen have always said the reason their marriage has lasted so long is because they learned to say “Yes Dear.” I thought this would make a funny t-shirt. Hi printmaking buddies. Last night at Chisolms End of year open night party I won the award for printmaking. (Big hug to Heather Nye my printmaking teacher) . Now I have a voucher to go to Neil Wallace and buy ink for my studio. I am so wrapt about that because I wanted to do drypoint etchings at home and havn’t the ink. Plus I felt special last night and , well its great to feel rewarded. Last night was a great party for all but I know who had the best time ever and that was ME ME ME. I had a wonderful time.

I am posting this so beautiful and powerful photo (viewed larger) with the permission of my sister Diane that took this picture while she did the Way Of St.James Route from Saint-Jean-Pied-De-Port on the French side to Santiago De Compostela in Spain and did more than the 100 kl walk on foot needed to get the certificate. / All profits on sales of this picture will go to a local counter for the needy that profits to families that need the most help. Wikipedia Pilgrims on the Way of St. James walk for weeks or months to visit the city of Santiago de Compostela. They can follow many routes (any path to Santiago is a pilgrim’s path) but the most popular route is the French Way or Camino Francés; the most common starting points are cities in Spain situated along this route. Historically, most of the pilgrims came from France, due to the Codex Calixtinus. For this reason, the Spanish consider the Pyrenees the starting point. Common starting points along the French border are Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port or Somport on the French side of the Pyrenees and Roncesvalles or Jaca on the Spanish side. The compostela The compostela is a certificate of accomplishment given to pilgrims on completing the Way. To earn the compostela one needs to walk a minimum of 100 km (cyclists must cycle at least 200 km). In practice for walkers, that means starting in the small city of Sarria, for it has good transportation connections via bus and rail to other places in Spain. Pilgrims arriving in Santiago de Compostela who have walked at least the last 100 km, or cycled 200 km to get there (as indicated on their credential), are eligible for this compostela from the Pilgrim’s Office in Santiago. / Good to buy for religius card, first communion, Ester, etc… / Thank you for reading and viewing this picture.

Last Tuesday our autistic son Michael was one of the nominated kids on the school buses to get a Certificate Of Appreciation. The lady with Michael is his bus driver Tami. She nominated Michael. Because he is so helpful to her on the bus with the other kids. Tami really adores Michael alot.
