  • A little slice of the history of Edinburgh, the Governor’s House on Calton Hill in Edinburgh. / Looking quite medieval, this is actually an early 19th century structure, the remains of the old Calton Gaol, a prison that was once on the historic hill. / Atmospheric evening fog and illumination came together to make this something special. Available as cards and a variety of prints – if interested in cards, on the preview page, please try with “black backing” as the artist intends.

  • Abandoned farmhouse in North Carolina mountains. I thought the windows in this house were particularly interesting and liked the reflection of the autumn leaves in the downstairs front window. Nikon D50 HDR Photomatix Pro / Too bad old houses can’t talk and tell us their history.

  • The Queen holding the symbolic center of herself-her kingdom. Photo based illustration.

  • An Osprey makes a tight in the air turn while eluding an Eagle who’s intent to steal is a real serious threat…lol

  • Nature Reclaims: This is part of the network of Leats that supplied the City of Plymouth with fresh drinking water in the 15th Century from Dartmoor. Constructed by Sir Francis Drake; Commonly called ‘Drake’s Leat’. Now nature has taken over most of them, but there are still parts that are used even today to take water to Burrator Reservoir, and when it rains very heavily they are still used to take away the overflow.

  • The 18th century Castle Bridge over the River Crana, Buncrana, County Donegal, Ireland, late summer. / Fujifilm finepix s9600 / Slight amounts of levels, curves and usm. I was tempted to desaturate a bit, but the grass really was this green.

  • Image of Bi-Plane For my friend, Jane, who pulled to the side of the road, somewhere in Pennsylvania (or maybe we were still in Jersey?) when I yelled, “STOP!” Those five trees lined up like a dream in field just begged the shot. Featured in the Group: The Art of Intrigue

  • Interesting monuments in the Bada Bagh of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India are the Cenotaphs. These cenotaphs also known as chattris and were constructed by the various Bhatti rulers. One cenotaph has been erected for each ruler. The oldest among them is the cenotaphs of Maharawal Jait Singh who reigned from 1470-1506. This tradition was discontinued when in 1947, one of the prince died of a mysterious disease. This was taken as a bad omen and thus this tradition came to its end.

  • MJ – Idol To Millions / It really is a shock about his passing. I’m slowly wakeing up to reality about it all. This is my t-shirt design for him. / Hope you like it!

  • Gadsisar is a scenic rainwater lake situated in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. It was built in 1156 and later rebuilt by Maharwal Garsisingh in 1367. A beautiful arched gateway decorates the lake. The lake is surrounded by ghats, temples, cenotaphs and gardens.

  • THE PROMISE / Best viewed large. / / The Frenchman Joseph Permet-Ducher is credited with the first discovery of yellow roses around the 18th century. After approximately 20 years of attempting to breed a hearty yellow rose and “THE PROMISE” to create one, Joseph stumbled upon a mutant yellow rose in a field. With this specimen, he was able to duplicate its structure and create the first yellow roses! / / A beautiful interpretation of yellow roses is the notion of renewal; yellow roses are a perfect way to apologize and to make amends. A bouquet of yellow roses reflects calm contentment, undying love, and comfort. Yellow roses tell a spouse or partner that you value them everyday and that you see them as the fulfillment of your needs. This flower and color are aptly associated with wedding anniversaries, especially for the fifteenth year of marriage. / / Nothing conveys real love, companionship, renewal, reconciliation, and friendship quite like yellow roses. These flowers stand alone in their meanings and serve a beautiful purpose for communicating messages of hope and “THE PROMISE” of love with the utmost sincerity. / BETTE MIDLER:THE ROSE Some say love, it is a river / that drowns the tender reed. / Some say love, it is a razor / that leaves your soul to bleed. / Some say love, it is a hunger, / an endless aching need. / I say love, it is a flower, / and you it’s only seed. It’s the heart afraid of breaking / that never learns to dance. / It’s the dream afraid of waking / that never takes the chance. / It’s the one who won’t be taken, / who cannot seem to give, / and the soul afraid of dyin’ / that never learns to live. When the night has been too lonely / and the road has been to long, / and you think that love is only / for the lucky and the strong, / just remember in the winter / far beneath the winter snows / lies the seed that with the sun’s love / in the spring becomes the rose. Photo taken with my Canon EOS 40D camera.

This picture is pointing out the tyranny of political correctness. It’s purpose is to silence all others that do not have the same opinion. In a world where it is allowed to flourish its as if all others have no voice [ no mouths ]. A collage of digital paintings all mouse drawn and painted in photoshop 5.5. Windows ‘98 platform For that bright flash of color or as a conversation piece in your decor use a small ‘Mounted Print’ on a plate easel, chic.
