Hand up, who DIDN’t play with rolly-pollys (rolie-polies?) aka pillbugs as a kid? Pill woodlouse (Armadillidium vulgare) is a crustacean – so technically it’s a land dwelling shrimp… I guess…

Beauty is only carapace deep… Pill bug – peeled bug – get it? ROFLOL (in case you didn’t notice – I’m being sarcastic; the pun here is TOTALLY lame)

Meerkat….... Meerkats are primarily insectivores, but also eat lizards, snakes, scorpions, spiders, plants, eggs, small mammals, millipedes, centipedes and, more rarely, small birds. They are partially immune to certain venoms; they are immune to the very strong venom of the scorpions of the Kalahari, unlike humans. They have no excess body fat stores, so foraging for food is a daily need. Meerkats forage in a group with one sentry on guard watching for predators while the others search for food. Sentry duty is usually approximately an hour long.

Sentry duty is usually approximately an hour long. Baby meerkats do not start foraging for food until they are about 1 month old, and do so by following an older member of the group who acts as the pup’s tutor. The meerkat standing guard makes peeping sounds when all is well. If the meerkat spots danger, it barks loudly or whistles.

These Centipedes live in the Arcturian oceans where waters are dark and deep. Like terrestrial deep-sea animals they produce their own light. The red light in front serves to attract potential prey. Made with Apophysis.

I found the centipede in my backyard under the dog kennel as I was cleaning up. Did You Know? Centipedes (which are also called scutigera) and millipedes belong to a group of arthropods with unbranched limbs. Centipedes have one pair of legs to each obvious segment. / Despite their name, which means “100 Feet”, very few species of centipedes have as many as100 legs. The centipede have 21 or 23 pairs of legs.

This centipede is actually about 4 inches long. Big enough to put you in the hospital for a few days if bitten. I had never seen one this big, and was all to excited to get a photo of it, but not to touch it. That job I will leave to one that is willing to be sick for a while!!!!!!
