Port Angeles, Washington. All the art is in the woods… along the paths, in the trees, hanging from branches !! The artwork is very creative and unusual here, and there is no admission charge to view it. Some is very simple, and some is very complex.

These are simple yellow daisies that I removed the color and colored in the yellow center. And then I did a colored sketch technique in photoshop to add texture.

One of my favorite places for respite and refuge from the human world, the Gorman Nature Center near Mansfield, Ohio, is also a refuge for plants, wildlife, and in this pond, many forms of aquatic creatures. The pond had frozen over recently. The late afternoon, soon-to-be-setting sun lent an additional sense of serenity to this peaceful place. I can spend hours there, but even a few minutes allows me to take deep breaths and feel renewed. That’s why I’ve volunteered there for nearly 12 years. Nikon p80, unaltered
