  • Champoeg Pioneer Cemetery St. Paul Oregon. My son actually pointed the rainbow out to me…as I was oblivious to it…My camera ran out of batteries after this shot. By the time I got the new ones in…it was gone. So all I have is a sort of blurry rainbow pic. But I still love it:)

  • This image is a Collaboration with Flamejob. Please go and see his AMAZING work. Recently, he put out a call for hardcore collaboration action, we swapped details and here is the result. Details; / Location – Camperdown Cemetery where tours are available the first Sunday of every month. / Photo – taken by Mr dabble – yes, that’s right, I didn’t even take this photo, but he doesn’t have a Red Bubble account and he wouldn’t know how to load an image onto the computer anyway. / Editing – Flamejob It’s always interesting visiting a historic site such as this cemetery when it’s such a bright and lovely day – it loses something. Flamejob knew exactly what was needed and I think the result is truly amazing.

Shot Thoughts & Background Info—- Fairmont Cemetery in Denver is one of my all time favorite places to shoot at, especially during the Autumn months. It is quite old with headstones dating to when Denver was barely even a city. Quite massive in size, many of the structures contained within it are fascinating examples of architectural style. For this shot, I really wanted something different, so when I was shooting it I made sure to use my Minolta 18-200 DT lens so I could go ultra wide and capture as much as I could I had an idea already in my head for the post work, and for the most part I think it works as I had planned. I really wanted something moody, heavy on the atmosphere, that provoked thought in people when they saw it. Something that made them stop and think for a second. HDR Processed. Shot Details Minolta 5D / Minolta 18-200 DT Lens 18mm | f10 | iso 200 | 1/200 | / Singh-Ray CPL / Processed through Lightroom, Photomatix for HDR, and then finally Photoshop Thoughts welcomed! —-John jdebordphoto.com

  • Bonaventure Cemetery
    by Lori Smaltz

    US$3.85–US$102.60

In recent years this cemetery located in Savannah, Georgia is best known due to the book (and movie): “Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil” In addition some famous people are buried here, Johnny Mercer and Conrad Aiken are just to name a few. I like to walk in this cemetery because it is so peaceful and very interesting to look at. I like to go there early in the morning (when this photo was taken) when hardly anyone is there. • Celtic Cross

Add A90Six to your WatchList! BLACK & WHITE | BUILDINGS & ARCHITECTURE | FLOWERS | IRELAND | LONDON | MALLORCA | PLAYING with PICTURES | RED BEST VIEWED AS A MEDIUM SIZED FRAMED PRINT ON YOUR SITTING ROOM WALL! The Celtic Cross, sometimes referred to as the Irish Cross is these days represetative of the Christian Church in Ireland. Ancient Celtic crosses can also be found in other Celtic regions such as Cornwall in England, Wales, Scotland and the Scottish Isles. It’s origins are unclear, but the notion that it was introduced by St Patrick is not true as the symbol was around long before his time. The cross in this shot is a headstone on a grave at Killahenna Cemetery, Ballybunion, Co. Kerry, Ireland, where many of my ancestors and relatives are buried. /

  • La Recoleta Buenos Aries
    by Juilee Pryor

    US$5.70–US$152.00

La Recoleta in the centre of Buenos Aries, is a vast and extraordinary necropolis that has become relevant historical and artistic monuments of the country. Its were the remains of Eva Peron lie. And its just staggeringly beautiful and massive. Its a world class expamle of funeral architecture and has been declared a heritage site. Still using film here. Ifford HP5. Then given its dark sepia cast to intensify the nostalgic and removed qualities in the image.

  • Remembrance...
    by Kevin Kroeker

    US$3.71–US$98.80

I went to the cemetery today to just enjoy the peace and serenity. My wife and I walked through and read the old head stones that dated as far back as the very early 1800’s. It’s hard to not imagine the lives of these people and what it was like on earth in their time. What lives they led and adventures they had… then your mind turns to those they left behind. This headstone is the burial place of a husband and wife from 1921 and 1927. After all these years someone still leaves flowers on their graves in remembrance. / / / / / / / / / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography /
