This beautiful bronze statue of Mary the mother of Jesus rested silently after a violent mid western thunderstorm. The rain drop I found on it’s face was real and I was moved to take this photograph. I felt compelled to bring the expression to life and the message is eternal!

I was taking photos of statues in a cemetery one day and I came across this sad looking stuffed dog sitting on a tombstone. It was drenched from the thunder storm from just a few minutes before this shot was taken….yes, I got caught in that storm and was stuck under a cemetery gazebo for an hour!! *All proceeds of sales are donated to the Hope Animal Shelter Please check out my other gallery here at RedBubble, Macabrecat , for my cat photography. Taken with a Canon PowerShot S3 IS, 6 megapixels. I took this picture in a cemetery belonging to a Catholic boarding school, Jean-de-la-Mennais, in La Prairie, Quebec. It is the cemetery reserved for the brothers who have founded the school and the ones that came after them. Finished in 9th position of Top 10 in Christian Statue of the Statues and Such group on April 12, 2009 Featured in Statues and Such on July 27, 2009. / /
