Like my kitten image I wanted to paint this little dog with some fantasy flair. This dog is basically my creation I don’t know if there are any dogs that look exactly like this in the world, I’m sure definitely not this colorful. I looked at a few photos of puppies and dogs to get ideas of what type of dog I wanted to create and paint. I played with different colors until I got a result that I liked. I wanted this dog to look very cute and mysterious much like my kitten image.

For this work I wanted to paint a kitten with a little fantasy flair, rather than just a common image of a kitten sitting in a basket. I did this work completely in Photoshop. I looked at many pictures of kittens for reference before working on this because I hadn’t painted many animals before.

For this painting I started with a color scheme that I knew I wanted to use. The idea just came to me after coloring in the background with the dark cool greens. I love to paint figures and I had a lot of fun with this one. Most of the painting was done in Painter and some added textures and details were done in Photoshop. No reference used. I prefer to paint figures from my head, although it can be challenging with proportions and lighting.

I am going to consider this one finished for now until I decide if and what I should add to it. I am thinking that I may add something to her hair or a necklace in the future. I’m not sure about the background yet I may just keep it the way it is or perhaps add some impression of trees. This was actually meant to be a speed paint type of thing. I just felt like painting a face the other night and I ended up deciding that I would go ahead and refine it even more. I just love to paint faces and pretty much anything beautiful so this was fun for me to work on. No references were used. This was painted completely in Photoshop I worked about 3 hours on it so far.

I got inspired to do this one after looking at some really old fashion post cards from the early 20th century. I wanted this girl to look doll like and angelic. This was painted completely in Photoshop no references were used.

I have always been so fascinated by ancient Egypt and have been wanting to do a painting like this for a long time. This is my version of Isis and Osiris. There is a tragic story behind Osiris and Isis, and how Osiris became the God of the underworld. This image is how I like to think of them, young and in love before they became gods. I looked at some old papyrus images of them for refference. The clothing is a bit different from the references that I looked at. I have two signatures in this work one is my regular and one is painted in Hieroglyphics on the vase. The sketch for this was done in Painter, the painting was done in Photoshop.

For this work I wanted to paint a wise, kind, strong and humble king. This is king Sol, the ruler of Eltheria. His crown is infused with magic and he has the power to destroy any foe yet he fights only when threatened and never misuses his power. He has had a hard long life as King and has survived many battles, yet he remains strong and kind. He is a king that his people would give there lives for. This work was painted mostly in Painter, the finishing touches were added in Photoshop. No references were used. Thanks for viewing :)

This work took me a while to complete. I think that this is the longest that I have ever worked on a digital painting. I worked on it off and on during the course of two to three weeks. I had an idea of a goddess with three to four sets of wings and I just had to paint it. I didn’t want to just paint a goddess with fairy wings like so many other paintings out there, I wanted to paint angel wings as well to make this character more distinctive. Then after adding them I went ahead and painted butterfly wings as well. I still might work into it more. The story behind this work is that she is a beauty goddess of the fairies. The little fairies have the power to transform to any size that they desire but they can never be the same size or larger than her. They bring her mystical energy that continues to increase her powers and beauty. She is a loving goddess but is still quite vain and power hungry. Thanks for visiting my gallery :)

This work was painted completely in Photoshop. For the pose I looked at a refference photo from one of my pictures. I did the lighting out of my head, it was completely different from my refference. I added a lot of things in this work that I love, The painting in the background on the wall is an oil painting that I did of my fiance. I also love Chocolate chip cookies so I added a plate of them on the table. I once had a window like this right next to a tree and these little birds used to come and perch there next to my window so I wanted to paint something like that in this work. This took me a while to complete, I still may add more to it. I worked on it off and on during the week. Thanks for visiting my gallery. :)

Here is a close up from my recent work “Venus Of The Fairies”.

This work is the first part of a series that I am doing for all of the planets of our solar system. The sketch and basic paint was done in Painter, details were added in Photoshop. No references were used for the figure, except for the earth pattern on her body. I used photos of the planets and moon for the background.

This is an older work that I did a few months ago that I had just recently worked into a bit more. This was painted completely in Photoshop. No references were used. As for a story behind this work, I usually like to give the viewer the chance to interpret their own story for my images. My own story for this image is that the girl is being lured into a trap by the dove claiming to have the ability to grant her any wish that she desires.

I took a break from my planet series to work on this piece. I got inspired one night to paint a beautiful empress who looks as evil as she does kind. I have my own story in mind for this image but I want the viewer to interpret there own story. I want the viewer to also question what her emotions could be. I painted this image in Photoshop. No references were used. I spent a lot of time on this image working on her skin especially. Painting the solders in the background was a bit tedious as well but fun at the same time.

Aside from working on my planet series I started working on this piece about a month ago and worked on it on and off during two weeks. I really pushed myself with this one and took my time. I sometimes tend to rush a painting in the final stages. For a long time I had had a lot of trouble with blending smoothly and painting skin. After a lot of experimentation I think that I have finally achieved a result for the skin that I’m happy with. I created this work using Painter and Photoshop. Since i’m pretty bad at painting hands and flowers out of my head I had to look at some refferences. I used my own hand as a refference for this work.

This work was done completely in Photoshop. No reference was used. I completed this work before I started getting more comfortable painting in Corel painter. I used to do all of my digital artwork completely in photoshop. Like some of my other work the color scheme is what inspired the subject matter of this one.

Usually I paint beautiful ladies in dreamy surroundings like many other artists but for a change I wanted to paint a handsome guy. This is Commander Luke Guest of Space Journey, a space exploration team from Earth on a mission to explore new planets. The year is 2150 and he is patrolling a new found Earth like planet. He has both a sense of comfort and fear in this new world because it is so much like Earth yet it is not Earth and is light years away from it. He doesn’t know for sure what to expect. This work was painted completely in Photoshop, I looked at a photo refference from a picture that I took for the background. I didn’t paint too much detail in the background because I want the character to be the main focus. The color scheme for this one is pretty different from what I usually work with. I wanted to use less saturated colors for a change especially in the background.
