  • Xerophthalmia & Abduction
    by arctoa

I see / all and nothing / through xeric eyes: / the paradox of bound vision (...)

This collection of words is from some time in late 2006, with revisions in the Summer of 2007. As a vaguely-relevant side-note, xerophthalmia is a medical term for dry-eyes, for those who are curious. I like the sound of the word, for what it’s worth.

The deep seeded microscopic things eat away at me

In this dark little tid-bit a cancerous set of cells begins to kill it’s host. With no means of paying for the cure, the host simply gives up and accepts the bitter end.

  • THE CHANGE OF HEART

  • Getting dumped, the SMS way ...
    by loganhille

Somewhere along the line I have lost the plot. I really do not know how to treat women. I just cannot be rude and nasty to them.

Getting dumped by SMS seems to be a popular Break Up Song these days. Is it fair, is reasonable. In a way I prefer being dumped by text messaging.

  • The Evolutionary Living Fractal Model: ELF An Introduction Pt1
    by QuantumResults

The biggest challenge faced by humanity at the end of the first decade of the 21st century is one of survival

The Evolutionary Living Fractal or ELF Model is my contribution to the worldwide conversation about ecology, the environment and sustainability. I suspect this is a conversation that we should all be having. It willlead in very short order to the matter of the disadvantaged, malnourished, poverty stricken and unrepresented peoples of the world. These people are our very selves and must not be ignored. I like to quote Einstein who said: “A human being is part of the whole, called by us “universe,” limited in time and space. We experience our self, our thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest – a kind of optical delusion of the consciousness. This delusion is a prison, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons close to us. / Our task must be to free ourselves from our prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all humanity and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security.” / —Albert Einstein /

Biodiversity loss is not an homogenous phenomenon on a planetary scale, but occurs as localised destruction

  • Bridging the Gap Between Science and Religion: The Hypothesis
    by Daneann

Ponder Genesis-... the face of the deep is the space excluding electrons, outside of the nucleus of an atom. It extends far inward and…

The ponderings contained in this Genesis Decoded project, are concepts obtained through many years of prayer for understanding about HOW God created the universe and everything in it when scientific evidence seemed to suggest otherwise. Finally, I am able to Share several parts of my most humbly received inspirations. I have presented them under the heading of Hypothesis because that term may tempt scientists to read and ponder. I hope so. My goal in writing this was to help intellectual students hold on to their faith in God against all odds. The next section will be Bridging the Gap Between Science and Religon: After Day7. It will contain ideas as well as discussions of various scientific concepts as they relate positively to Genesis Decoded. Please be patient with me. And spread the word to your scientist friends. Lovingly, Dane Smith-Johnsen

  • Cell Phone Kingdom
    by Kristin Reynolds

Wild, like honey and fear / grow the unstable hearts of men. Hung from branches with neck ties / fraught with death, fury, and mechanics…

I wrote this about a year and a half ago; in part of my loathing for cell phones (no, I do not own one, but may have to, soon! ugh!) and the people who, it seems, will one day have to have it surgically removed from their ear, as it never ever leaves. / My home burned to the ground a few years back and we lost everything. it really was to the ground and the year before that, the home we were renting blew the heck up – no joke. within 2 years time we had lost everythng we had, twice! and I realized just how useless the “just things” are. anyway..I digress… this is a poem about wanting to wake people up to smell the roses; and their souls slowly dying.
