Soaring to a celestial kingdom, Heaven cries for all of those who will never open their eyes, never see love, never know true happiness…. Heaven’s Cry took 7 hours, which is about 3 hours longer than my average amount of time on a piece of work….the wings alone took 3 hours….pencil on bristol board, i am very happy with the results….

This was taken at Swansea, Newcastle NSW, Australia. The water around this place is absolutley amazing – the most beautiful blues I have ever seen…unfortunately not so good for capturing in IR…but I managed to get the sky to turn out like the colour of the water. A Mandala design, of a Kitty drawn in Coloured Pencils to the size of 10×8 inches. I wanted this to be a fun design with a bit of mystery thrown in and the colours I choose to work in were shades of green,violet,silver and grape, a favourite combination of mine.
