Saw this large moth in the early morning outside my work. He was still chilled from the evening air, so he was easy to shoot as he slowly tried to warm his wings.

This forms quite a large shrub, with small, dark green leaves with serated edges. This photo was taken at the beginning of November. The flower colour is a deep ‘true’ blue. Lighting conditions were bad when I took this, so the colour came out far too washed-out. I’ve tried to restore the colour to near- natural, but it’s still not quite right.

This shot of a White Butterfly makes a beautiful card. It was taken with my Nikon D70 in my garden in rural Cambridgeshire. I call the shrub it is sitting on the Humming Bush because of the noise of hundreds of bees buzzing around it.
