This is the first time I have seen the flower of the Puya plant. It is a bromeliad and a native of South America ( I understand ) The plant only flowers every 5 years. I think the flowers are beautiful. Not only because of the very unusual colour but also because of the thick satin petals. The image does not adhere to the rule of thirds- I could have cropped it but I felt the colour balance in the overall image was worth holding on to. I quite like it / I hope you enjoy too /

A simple flag Iris- Love the shape and beauty of irises! Secretive flowers- hiding their inner, sensitive, intiguing inner parts. It gives me great pleasure to watch things grow- hopefully this’ll give you pleasure too!
