This is me…. My initial plan was to try and replicate a CD cover (Biffy Clyro, Folding Stars). Due to space constraints (the model in the original is much further away from the wall) I kinda gave up but played around with b&w and noise and got this. Paul

Ive never tried something like this before. Never an artwork emotionally so intense. Would love to thank sandra baraci for the wonderful collab. She has been painting the stunning image of `tracie76 portrait for a while now, which she abandoned in the middle. I really wanted to complete it in my form, and I did. / She says she found the motivation back again to finish the canvas, which is an honour . Thankyou both of you for the wonderful experience.

Heart Built on Tears These are individually placed waterdrops on a CD. The colors come from how the light is refracted on the surface. It’s really easy to arrange shapes since you can just drag the drop with any sharp object and it will stay perfectly spherical and not loose any water :) So this is a bit feminine, but boo double standards :) / These are the descriptions I give on dA —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Location: Portland, OR / Date: August 30th, 2008 / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- Camera: Canon Digital Rebel XSi (450D) / Lens: Canon Macro Lens EF-s 60mm f/2.8 / Focal Length: 60 mm / Flash: Built-In Shutter Speed: 1/60 sec / Aperture: 2.8 / ISO: 400 / — MY PHOTOGRAPHS ARE COPYRIGHTED AND NOT FOR USE OF STOCK, CANNOT BE REDISTRIBUTE, EDITED, AND/OR COPIED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Folk Devils and Moral Panics / This is artwork I have just completed for one-man-music-show Onemancabal / I just wanted to share this piece because I am so very proud of it, I put my heart and soul into this work – and I think when you listen to the music you’ll agree it suits. The idea for this piece was to create a long artwork that would be divided into the various parts of the CD packaging – so the far left is the cover, with the middle section on the inside front cover and the inlay, and the far right is the back of the CD. My intention was to have just a few characters coming onto the front and back of the case, to entice people to open it up and be blown away by the intricate illustration inside. Like a reward for buying the CD! We wanted to have innocent looking characters with a slightly sinister edge to them – reflecting the music (which has some beautiful folky, traditional sounds but isn’t all it seems). It was a great blend of my two distinctive styles and I am absolutely in love with it! / I’ll be posting details and credits on my website soon – and perhaps some snap shots of how it all came together…enjoy! P.S This is only a demo CD, so fingers crossed Onemancabal gets signed and we can all buy his beautiful music…

check out who came to me while i took some shots of my flower macro…..this lil guy has amazingly long legs and stayed there to pose for me! Image that! LOL Sorry the composition is lacking appeal….and im a bit bummed that i cut off his reflection too….i have never done bugs or spider shots before so i dont relly know what else to do but a straight front mug shot! hehehe When i spotted him i quickly grabbed a blank CD and put it near it…..and when it went on top of the CD i just started shooting. That should explain the reflection you see here and the colorful backdrops :P Im facinated with the EYES!!! / Btw, do you know that they’ve got eyes on the side of their heads too? I just learned that they have 8 eyes and need them all – the different eyes have different functions as well as 360’ viewing. isn’t that awesome? You learn new things everyday :P

This is from my first photo shoot for a CD cover. I recenlty purchased a two light Genesis 400ws light kit from Calumet Photography. It has been a while since I have done portraits. / / The artist is a Contemporary Christian artist specializing in Praise and Worship. We were looking for a simple yet artsy feel to the photos. Something that shows the spririt of happiness and peace without looking cheesy. / / This image will most likely make the inside cover of the CD. We liked how it shows a fun side of the artist. / / Hope you like it. / / Please View Larger

While sitting at my computer I happened to look down at all the / discs that were laying around it and was stunned to see how the / light reflected off them in a spectrum of colors, hence came the / idea for this photo/design. Technology is so much a part of what / we do.

This is the motive I have made for a band I am doing the CD cover and all the rest of what ever they need for marketing (blog, posters, tickets and so on) for. / The bands name is Tassili (the on who walks) and they do the most exciting music I’ve heard since I was made aware of our very own muskularteeth / The sort of music they play has been called “Sahara Blues” (cool he?) in the media the last year ore so (here in Norway anyway). For those of you having problems with such things, THEY ARE NOT MUSLIMS. but atheists (I think) from Morocco and Norway. / You see if they were in any way religious (ore as I see it not intelligent, open minded, including and learning/spiritually eveolving humans) I wouldn’t work for them….simple as that. / Christians and muslims, budists and sun worshipers is to me all the same. It has no place in a modern society built upon science, logic and reason. / I guess in that way I am a bigot. / I also never did any gigs ore briefs for ANY political unit what so ever. Never as a musician ore as a graphics artist and Illustrator. / I am also contemplating giving up contributing to the marketing efforts of various companies, cos I believe it is bad and very wrong what most of them do, and that goes for me to as long as I let them use my skills to peddle shit we didn’t know we needed til they convinced us it is so. This in turn keep us in debt and stuck in some shit job working for the man and our morgage. / Art is art, and must not prostitute itself. Neither for religion nor politics. / Cos then we are lost. Without a provoking art scene, humanity is lost….believe me if you must believe something. I believe in art, freedome and the right to provoke at any time and place….also religions witch I DON’T consider holy…(goes for all of them). POS / /
