  • Winter Ice witch. A frozen flower on a winters night. My version of “The Scream”.

  • This beautiful fall scene was doubled for me by the wonderful reflection in the absolutely still water. This photo was taken outside of Charleston, SC.

  • My tribute to molluscs.

  • A lonely bare tree framed by a huge moon.

  • An ancient and decaying Oak tree in Bradgate Park, Leicestershire, England. Shot early one morning in June, 2007. A rework from the original “I’m Still Here!”

  • We visited a Masai village in Kenya. This poor man was wandering around, very troubled. Some of the people in our group implied scornfully that he was drunk. When I asked about him I was told that he had mental difficulties and the rest of the tribe looked after him. He seemed so upset, it was sad. And sad too for people to automatically jump to the conclusion that he was drunk…

  • my entry for CCW7

  • I went out looking for something “Naked” today for The Challenge Café challenge number 7. I found this dying Cholla Cactus, also known as a jumping cactus. I like this one because it shows the decay leading to the famous Cholla skeleton. This poor cactus is naked of all its protection as well as its green membrane needed for photosynthesis. It is doomed! / - / With that said, I just liked the blue and the sharp Barrel cactus needles next to it!

  • A rose that has lost its petals.. naked and lost… x

  • In my line of work I see many different buildings born from concept through to completion. It is always a joy to watch your vision grow from the bare bones of the structure to the finished building and I am always fascinated by every stage… even at this naked stage. / I had to re-think my last upload for the Challenge Cafe, and I’m kind of glad I did. An unscheduled site visit to a current project and I’m done… / All architectural detailing, interior and furniture design by Paul Tupman. Feel free to check out my Interior & Furniture Design Portfolio here

  • I had this crazy idea pop into my lunacy tonight in the middle of the night and as I couldn’t seem to sleep anyways, here it is. For the Challenge Cafe group.

  • This photo was initially a concept piece created for th seventh Challenge Cafe competition, the theme being naked without using the human body. So imagine my surprise when, six months later, it makes it on the featured page!

  • How to portray naked without getting naked! / / Check out Robert Knapman’s image inspired by my knickers! / / / / © Sarah Moore 2008

  • My entry for the naked competition.

  • This is my shot for the Naked but not people naked challenge. It is also for the Beginners exressions group seeing as this is one of the first ‘all-white’ background type shots ive done. I tried to express the theme of naked, seeing as i submitted it for the bordom challenge. i hope you guys like it. / Please leave your comments, i would love to hear some helpful suggestions and critiques on my photography. I am still learning and improving.

  • I’m by no means a “treehugger”, but strangely enough.. / I do feel pain when I see a cut tree. I know we need wood, / and even various tree barks are known to promote healing in / cancer, but still..this is how I feel when I see our trees / and forests dying.. / / / 1st place winner in the Challenge Cafe: “Naked” competition / /

  • sunset over the River Rance, St Malo, France / CCW7 Our life is like this ,a puzzle, made of events, minor ones and major ones! / Sometimes we tend to think that, there is no connections between them, and yet, they are in time, building a beautifull canvas , to the one who can see through the events, and to the one who can be shapped by them! / Through them, we can learn, what real love means, compassion, care, we learn how to listen, how to share, how to accompany! / We can learn, tenderness, passion for good causes! / We can learn how to rebel and fight against injustices! / We can weave ,a beautifull net of human care! / Caroline Caux SSCOMP3”competition /

This challenge was judged by the very talented Paul Vanzella / / Thank you Paul for taking time to do this for us. / / Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Challenge. The work submitted for this challenge was of such high quality that Paul’s first words when given the submissions to judge were – What a tough competition to judge!. / The winning piece is / / The Bleeding Tree by Birgitta / / Paul gave this reason for choosing this piece as the winning entry / / I’ve chosen “Bleeding Tree” as the winner – it’s pure aesthetic / quality pushed through immensely along with the title…. / The overall appeal of the image is impressive as it tells a story / as well as having extreme visual impact. There is nothing more naked than / a landscape without its forest. I just love the colour space / which the image resides. The pure golds just work so well and the / intricate tonal qualities make the image for me. Love the way your eye / moves seamlessly from the foreground right into the image and the / severed trunk reminds us of the nakedness of our land if these majestic trees / are cut down. Sensational piece of work! / / / / The runner up position goes to / / Interior & Furniture Design By … by Paul Tupman / / Paul’s reason for choosing this as the runner up piece is / / I love this image so much as it shows the naked stage of a building, / bare bones, before all the trimmings and thought process. / And, what a visual masterpiece this is…. from the way the light falls / to the raw colour palette and composition… an almost haphazzard composition / that works so well with all the elements interacting perfectly with each other. / A very unique piece of work where less is more and a stripped back interior / can provide an extremely engaging image. Love this! / / Congratulations to both of you, and to all who took part in this awesome challenge
