  • This is a compilation I have done with Rebecca Zachariah after our trip to Rwanda. In a nation of shattered souls post genocide, hope remains in the form of new life. These people have witnessed death on massive scale. You can see how precious they consider life from this shot. ALL PROCEEDS TO HEAL AFRICA HEAL Africa calendar available now!!! • Music Happens
    by Brett Foster

Adrift of audience, his aged frame supported askew his old grand, his friend, / he recalled the fading moments from recent past as a solil…

A poem inspired by this image and approved by the hugely talented Paul Louis Villani

  • This image inspired a collaboration with / chord0 / / His poem God’s love in Nature suite this image perfectly. God’s love in Nature / When slight and silenced, / With rumors of corollas and wings, / Is love that fills everything! / Have agitated waves / And the deep vertigo / Of the abyss and the distance. / Life and Death, eternal Love / Of pain and exuberance, / Keep me chained / To the light of his Word / And that sleeps at dusk / In the footprints of the plants. Please check his writings and gallery Bacara Beach in Santa Barbara, California during magic hour at dusk. The pier in the background is the Venoco Ellwood pier and is used only by the oil company, to load and unload personnel and supplies for the oil rigs in the Channel Islands passage. / Image was taken using HDR technique. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-- / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-- /

  • In the Bell Tower The bell doesn’t swing: it’s rung with a hammer-stroke. When standing close enough to touch, the noise is awesome. So large and deep a sound it’s painful in my ears, a sound that thrums itself down the scale of loudness and is still humming when it’s interrupted with the next vast blow. By Yonmei

  • ...if only they grew on trees… Winner in Challenge 20 at the Challenge Cafe :) I was so flattered this week to have Stacey Yount send me a Bubblemail telling me that this artwork had inspired her to write a poem for a husband. She even bought my artwork as a card and is going to write the poem inside and give it to her husband!!! LOVE IT! I think it matches the image perfectly and she has kindly given me permission to display it here. It is so exciting to collaborate with someone so talented (and she is a lovely person too). Read her beautiful words here: I once happened upon a heart tree / And had to pick the perfect / bloom for me I knew as soon as I saw that heart, / oh yes it is he / It called out I am yours, if you will choose it to be So, I danced my way to it / and reached up to pluck / it from the tree / No doubt, no worry / I knew that heart was meant for me I was right because that heart / was yours, you see / And now I am blessed with your love and oh how I love thee Stacey :) Stock Photo Credit: / Girl / Tree & Landscape

  • This image inspired a collaboration with Alison Pearce – who is a wonderful author and poet. / Alison Pearce On The Other Side The wooden gate off the picturesque country lane was partially open, as if in invitation. Colourful butterflies hovered over the weathered fence posts and a field of wildflowers could be glimpsed through the tree trunks shadowing the dusty lane. / I felt like I’d been there before and that an irresistible urge was pulling me forward now. Usually, I doubt my own instincts, but this felt so right. Some primeval part of my soul was insisting that this gate was the pathway I was meant to take, that the gate had indeed been left open just for me. / Head held high, I strode purposefully through the opening and down the path until I came upon a small bridge built across a clear stream. Leaning over the rail, I gazed in wonder at the beauty around me. / As I watched, a familiar form appeared amongst a patch of pink hollyhocks. I smiled as she raised her hand in welcome. My wife. My beautiful lost wife. / This was where I belonged. Had I known heaven was so beautiful, I’d have allowed my broken old body to succumb to this sweet song of peace long ago. © Alison Pearce 2008

  • I ALMOST REACHED THE SKY / I almost reached the sky today. / My wings were working so hard that / I almost touched the sun today. / Almost, but all effort fell flat / As usual! I almost saw the world today. / Looking for beautiful faces, / But could I find beauty today? / Not quite, all effort was wasted / As usual! I almost found some peace today. / There, on the edge of my vision. / I almost found caring today. / Nearly, but t’was out of season / As usual! I sit here gaining strength today. / Certain that I’ll find the reason / Why the world holds such hate today….. / But wait! / I ALMOST reached / I ALMOST touched / I ALMOST found / The sky today. Just one more try / Just ONE more / And I’ll be there! Words by wynity2, with thanks for her kindness.

  • The final image in my Mists of Avalon series...I have taken some artistic licence and imagination to create the final resting place for the Holy Grail. If you look closely you will see that the dragon is guarding the long sought after chalice known as the Holy Grail – a Knight’s ultimate quest. Dragons are known for hoarding their treasure and what better treasure to guard than the dragon’s nemesis – the Knight!! A collaboration with George, thank you so much for letting me use a version of your image…Pine Forest Mists. Dragon / Chalice © Sarah Moore 2008 Other images in my Mists of Avalon series… Shattered Dreams / King Arthur and the Holy Grail / A Forbidden Love / The Sword in the Stone / Mists of Avalon / The Lady of the Lake / The Isle of Apples / The Road to Camelot / Guinevere / Merlin / Camelot Mists /

  • is a collaboration between myself & LoraMae / for the week 20 Challenge. / thank you LoraMae once again for your beautiful words giving life and making this our art! Standing tall and firmly rooted / weathered many a storm / Knotted skin lined through the ages / battle scars have formed / Embrace the wind that comes to blow / Sup upon the rains that fall / For all things have a purpose / Even the storms that come to call / Through such storms we all must go / they can break or make us strong / Don’t let the storms of life defeat you / dig a little deeper and hold on

  • “Collaboration” – Challenge Café – n°20 – Leecemee//PBworks This challenge immediately interested me. / It was just necessary to find the image which makes tilt ! “Green jumper 03” I saw very quickly this image which I like to associate with Parisain Atmosphere… / Then a small mall to ask the authorization of the artist : Leecemee. Granted. First test with a too strong isothelie that I show on a page accessible by my personal site. There, drag another file which I did not remove: a small musical test. Maybe good with the “Collage”. / Moreover it is always on line at this address: / Provisoire : http://pascale.baud.free.fr/provisoire/test.html Then some changes accompanied by a quick explanation on a random and poetic geometry. “Poetry is as precise a thing as geometry” Gustave Flaubert & there the result of our collaboration ! :)

  • First part in a Mucha inspired Zodiac series Another collaboration with Chiaki and Ona. Reference here / /
