Tank Man, or the Unknown Rebel, is the nickname of an anonymous man who became internationally famous when he was videotaped and photographed during the Tiananmen Square protests on 5 June 1989. TIME included the “Unknown Rebel” in its 100 most influential people of the 20th century. This year marks the 20th anniversary of this shocking yet iconic image.

I took a photo back in Sept.2007 using my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55, of my favorite horse “Moon Dancer” and it sat in my files till today as the background was horrid. But when this challenge came up I could think of no better image to impart my feelings on the theme of passion. / I took the photo and combined it with a shot of the moon rising over the mountains behind my home and reflected the image of “Moon Dancer” to make the image symmetrical and balanced. / My greatest passion in life has always, and always will be horses. I live to ride and I ride to live. One would be hard pressed to find a more passionate or spirited companion and partner. It gives me joy to ride out into the hills, the wind in my face and the hooves of a good horse pounding the ground beneath me. Beauty in motion and a heart like no other, these animals are passion incarnate. Together horse and rider become one in rhythm and motion. In order for this to happen there must be a partnership founded on love, trust, loyalty and passion.
