Pastel on Colourfix Sanded Paper (Burgundy) – 70cm x 50cm This is another in the series of paintings I did along Hughes Creek at Tarcombe, Victoria, Australia. This is such a beautiful and isolated area! ‘Good Morning Billy Hill’ is the name of the hill in the far distance. I had an energetic climb to my vantage point at around 7.00 a.m. on the most glorious, warm, clear morning. There was a slight mist around. It was a ‘great to be alive’ day! Wow, I finally made something again. I’d been feeling rather uninspired for a while. It’s good to be creating again. / Autumn is my favorite season, I always get excited in the fall, the colors and smells make me feel very nostalgic , this image is celebrating it using my favorite fall colors~ Mother Nature changed her appearance with each season.. My 1st painting for 2009. An acrylic on canvas board, I wanted to experiment with borders on this. The result is surprising and I will probably try it with others :) The scene is morning light filtering through the trees in Boolarra where I live.
