  • so, um… can somebody remind me again as to why somebody would hate somebody else on the basis of skin (or in this case, feather) color? (inspired by James Victore and Barbara Kruger, two of my favorite graphic designers!)

  • Just having fun.

  • cartoon illustration of a happy married couple :)

  • This started out, believe it or not, as a galactic inspired abstract called ‘There’s Nothing Out There’ .... apparently there was someone out there, after all.

  • Little blond girl peeking inside a spring tulip. / Image redone in LucisArt.

  • Little girl smelling a wild daisy.

  • Little blond girl sitting in a field of daisies.

  • Cartoon illustration of friendly multi racial kids around the world linked with flowers. Featured in the group Art and Stories Made For Children on August 12, 2008.

  • Mostly hand drawn, but, digitally; quite a bit of it with my “pretty crayon” brush that I made a wee while ago. Corel Photo-Paint is the program I use. The name tends to confuse people. One does not have to manipulate photos or “paint” them, and, often I don’t. Sometimes, I do. Group submission not accepted March 8, 2009: “I SEE 1 31 2009”:http://www.redbubble.com/people/arletta/art/2508301-2-i-see-1-31-2009 was not accepted into the Out of the Blue (75%+ B… group 2 days ago. The reason was: “We think the work may be better suited to other groups. We’ll be happy to consider other works you submit to the group, provided they meet the guidelines and content requirements for inclusion.” What are the guidelines and content requirements for inclusion? About This Group ‘Out of The Blue’ is a group designed to celebrate the colour…you guessed it – blue! It is a place to share all predominantly blue artwork and photos. All media and all subjects are welcome. Group Rules: This group is quality checked regularly. Please submit only art that is high-quality and AT LEAST 75% BLUE. The closer your submissions are to a 75%-100% blue monochromatic blue colour scheme, the better. Any artworks that do not comply with the blue theme will be removed without notification. Black and white, purple, grey, and green are not blue! Similar colour-themed groups that may be of interest: Purple Haze / Green! / Aqua, Lime, or Indigo Be aware that just because you have submitted a shot of sky, snow, water etc. does not mean it will automatically be accepted. Nudity is permitted, but nothing explicit or pornographic in nature. Will there be exceptions to the above guidelines? From time to time, yes, and exceptions are made at the moderator’s discretion. Don’t feel bad if you find an image gets removed. It happens to all of us at some point. Remember – removal of your work is not a criticism of your art. It merely means it does not comply with the group’s theme. And rejections are not personal. These can be avoided by complying with group guidelines. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me via bubblemail. Other than that, enjoy all the blue art out there! Okay: Is this part of “all media and subjects”? Yes / Is it high quality? According to the comments: Yes / Is it at least 75 percent blue? Yes Her eye is blue, even the “white”, the ring around the iris, the eyebrow, eyelashes, and eyeliner; her flesh has blue in it, her lips have blue in them, even the shadows are really dark blue, not black; and the entire background was pale blue, not white, soall the “white” showing is – you guessed it – blue! On top of that, there are several shades of blue mottled over the majority of the image. It is a very high quality, well done, tricksome to the eye, very nearly entirely blue digital painting! I’m still waiting for a decent answer from the majority of the symbolism group, though, over why they don’t find my work with all the symbols in it to be symbolic, so – I shall probably be holding my breath until I’m blue in the face, before anything is done by way of correction and/or explanation here. All About Orange group is still the King, in that they have the sort of hosts who answer queries and admit their mistakes! But, yes, Out of the Blue, since this does fit the criteria for the group, and since you have stated no other reason for it being excluded, I am submitting it again! I am also submitting it to Feminine Intent, as this is very much – the image- how I felt then, and the writing is very much how I feel now! Does that count? I don’t know, but, at least they’ll be fair about coming to a decision. And, the Abstract Art and Writing, as there are very few real women with blue eyes (even the whites) and only half a face – which is what linaji had told me was the basic criteria for the group before. Is it still the basic criteria, Don’t know! Shall find out! Can’t deny there is writing, though!

  • Muscular young man standing bare chested in black brief style underwear

  • This is the Damon on a T-shirt T-shirt In fact, this is the Damon on a T-shirt whilst wearing a T-shirt T-shirt. Marketing could be a problem! This is almost pure photo manipulation, from a photo that I took of him in late December or early January. It was a candid shot – he just tends to look like a dangerous thug lol Especially if you are about to eat his starchy side dish! Anyway, he’s my nephew and, and .. and . .I thought it was a wholly appropriate use for the picture, so there! (Now that I am putting in the tags: remind me, later, to make a series of t-shirts called Thug Dangerous! )

  • The background is a work that I never quite decided if it was finished or not, so I never signed it and uploaded it. I may still do so. It’s called Tumble and is a digital painting. I used the eraser, on Corel Photopaint 8, to make a white tree shape. Then, I did some layering and alchemy, 2-d and 3-d effects, until the background looked different and the tree looked somewhat more like a tree and less like white lines. The female was from an online catalogue for BBW fashions, originally. I used Squizz (a function of Corel Photo-Paint) to alter the size and shape of her body, and did a whole lot of layering, changing filters, ec. to get her looking quite, quite different. Then, I added them together, flipped them one last time, signed it, and voila! The fact that she is merging into/out of the tree does, indeed, mean something.. the color scheme means something .. many things mean something .. but, it’s up to you to figure out what it means to you.
