Happy Cat – Tabby (black) – Large pic
This is my first attempt using the Redfield Fractilus plug-in (only have the trial version now) but I think I will be getting it later on. This is my Kiitten when she was only 6 weeks old.
I think this is an important message if anyone is considering getting a cat (or any animal)...So many cats are being brought into shelters everyday, thousands a year are unwanted and one third or more do not make it! / PLEASE it is very important to get your animal spayed or neutered to cut down on the loss of so many…if the shelters can’t take anymore cats in, some people even abandon and leave their cats on the street to fend for themselves. *All proceeds of sales are donated to the Hope Animal Shelter

And now, please meet ‘Tabby’ (occasionally even referred to as ‘Abby’). Tabby comes next in our line of the 4 interesting cats we are currently sharing our lives with… Tabby is – at least compared to Loony – a calm and relaxed cat. Though it took probably a week of living here before I even caught sight of her for the first time, in the past couple of weeks, every now and again, as I’m here at my computer, or just about to fall asleep at night, I realise there is this rather weighty, warm spot at some point on my body… if I manage to move and sneak a look gently enough not to disturb her, I realise it’s Tabby! At night, she has even been quite content enough to start purring away as I stroke her :))) She is, generally, my type of cat. I’ve always liked tabbies. I like to sit calmly at my computer working on my photos for hours. I’ve found it’s actually really nice to have a cat curled up peacefully next to me as I work away… and Tabby certainly doesn’t tend to move as fast as Loony… (she’s certainly a ‘touch’ rounder too lol ;) Tabby is also the only cat who has shown herself to be brave enough to stand her ground and actually attack our terribly frightening dogs (lol – Tibetan Spaniels… loud, but little!) if they accidentally come within range of each other. All the others bolt under various bits of furniture the second the dogs are let inside it’s as if they were never there!!! At this point, managing to photograph Tabby has been just as difficult as with Loony. Again, my Sony Alpha 350, 50mm Lens at f2.8, 1/13 Sec Exp, ISO 800. Hopefully, again, I’ll be able to do a better (and easier job) before we leave this place.
