Lolly is the sweetest munchkin, I love her to death! Although I am really, really going to miss my cousin and her gorgie daughter when they move to Macau my compensation is the addition to my family of this little girl. It’s a bit tricky now having a Tolly and a Lolly! When I growl at Lolly for jumping all over the elderly Tolly, Tolly often gives me this kind of “what did I do?” look! But Lolly was named by the afore-mentioned gorgie daughter of my cousin who is 3 years old so there it is.
11th installment of the pingpong colab. / Aaaahhh…. finally finished it. Its ridiculous how much time I’ve spent doing this, probably the longest of all Lookout series. Feel like something fishy (been eating a lot of fish and chips lately) Check out all previous versions here or shortcuts here: 1. Lookout!: Search 2. Lookout!: Mystery 3. Lookout!: Reach 4. Heaps of cats, heaps of colour…I lost count when painting these…they are also around the sides…at least 70 of them!
For this work I wanted to paint a kitten with a little fantasy flair, rather than just a common image of a kitten sitting in a basket. I did this work completely in Photoshop. I looked at many pictures of kittens for reference before working on this because I hadn’t painted many animals before.
This one I’ve intentionally washed out to highlight the eyes and nose. I did a bit of digital cleaning to make the impact a bit more. The cat’s name is Giblet and he’s a real suckie.
This is dedicated to the cats of my friend, Kathryn, who wait patiently for her to come back from her many trips across the world.

The vector cats make a reappearance, this time in a singularly girly fashion – set in the open pages of “Mrs Beeton’s Book of Household Management”, with the inevitable inky twiddly things, this time pinker than pink… All in all, quite a girly combination.

As is. He was so interested in his paw that he let me get close…...my Sweetie!! Cats are cats not dogs or very furry people. They’re true to themselves and their world view. I respect and love them for this surety of purpose, even though their “catness” confounds and frustrates me sometimes. This particular cat, my Sweetie, is the absolute cat-est cat I ever met! / Canon Powershot IS 2S
