  • My brother’s cat ‘Brian Lara’ (named after the cricketer who’s black). A very temperamental and unpredictable kitty-cat.

  • Elliot Erwitt is one of my photographic heroes. The seeming spontaneity in his work is something I can only look at in awe and wonder (I seem to spend too much time setting up tripods…) but occasionally I’ll manage something spontaneous, and this is one such image.

  • Cheetah - / Be sure to check out these other wild cat images:

  • Squishy likes to stalk birds. He’s very impatient and the birds always know he is coming and fly away. He is an excellent mouse hunter though. I am glad he is or living in the rural area they would be in our house. ick! I only like mice outdoors and not in the horse feed or inside your pantry.

  • Not much is known about the Asian Golden Cat. It is a rather elusive predator, and most of what is known about it has been found out in captivity. The Asian Golden Cat lives throughout Southeast Asia, ranging from Tibet and Nepal to Southern China, India, and Sumatra. It prefers forest habitats interspersed with rocky areas, and is found in deciduous, subtropical evergreen, and tropical rainforests. The Asian Golden Cat is occasionally found in more open terrain. It ranges from the lowlands to altitudes of up to 3000 meters in the Himalayas. The exact population of the Asian Golden Cat is unknown. It is hunted for its fur and, increasingly, for its bones in traditional Chinese medicine. However, the greatest risk posed towards the species is habitat destruction. There are few of these felines in zoos, and they do not breed well in captivity. If you would like to buy a card, print or poster just go to ‘buy/preview’

  • an earhart chappel photo..the killer inside me, with hand prints on wall of childrens room at youth detention center

  • This was taken on a very foggy day at Long Cove near West Pennant, Nova Scotia, Canada. / / It was named “Cat Fish Blues” because it looks like the boat had jumped out of the water, and because of the feeling of sadness or loneliness it invoked in me. / / Subscribe to art updates / Subscribe to T-shirt updates / Become a fan on FaceBook / Add me as a friend on FaceBook / Follow me on Twitter This is a new version of an old image. The old version had a lot of post production that may have been too much. I liked the look of it when it is small, but looking back and seeing it enlarged I prefer the more subtle treatment on this version. / / Cat Fish Blues II is available in all print formats offered by RedBubble. / /

  • this cat is always infront of the house, sitting in the couch placed on the balcony. this is my neighbour’s / by the way. i framed it around one of the diamond hole patterns of their wooden fence. the front gate was open, but i didn’t wanna be mistaken for breaking and entering ( oh wait, that’s what it is) just because i wanted to take the cat’s picture. so yeah. i’m hoping for another encounter. maybe i should have my zoom lens mounted everytime i walk by this house. all i had was my fixed 50mm that day :( Duotone Conversion with no other adjustments. Location: East Vancouver, British Columbia / Canada

  • Over the next couple of weeks, I thought I’d share some of the reasons I take pictures. This is the first and I’m guessing most of us have it in common. We want to save those moments that mean something to us, speak to us, make us happy. Sweetie’s not a cooperative “model” most of the time, but on this particular sunny morning about a week ago he rolled and twisted and posed in that adorable way that cats do. Later he threw up a little hairball, so I know all the rolling and twisting wasn’t for my benefit. But an image like this is one big reason I take pix. As is / Canon IS 2S / /
