This is my 17 year old baby girl, Willow. She’s sweet and full of life. Hope she lives forever. I wrote this for Willow a couple of years ago… My pussy snores all night long. / She dreams about running near the billabong / chasing dragonflies and sniffing at snails. / She hides in the shade of the tall cattails / watching all the birds as they fly by. / She knows she’ll catch one if she jumps high. She’s the best pussy I’ve ever had. / When I hear her snoring it makes me glad. / She’s gonna wake up and be in the mood / for canned tuna and bagged cat food. / But right now she’s living out her dream / of being a bad ass killing machine.

I’ve noticed in my neighborhood lately some new wild brazen cats. Cats without homes looking to connect with a food source. One big gray cat is hanging around sleeping on my porch, it just showed up one day out of the blue. This cat is challenging the equalibrium of the territory . Gyspy the shy local cat is not up to protecting her territory against this guy. The new cat is definitely a seasoned warrior and has began to wage war for territory,food and plunder.The nights have become filled with ravaging howling catfights. I awake at three in the morning and listen to the sounds of this war. Pencil and Prisma color on Four Ply Museum Board.

Many of my co-workers were stuck in New York and could see the towers from their hotel….others were in D.C. and actually saw the explosion of the the plane going into the pentagon. People were running and shoving…..I can’t imagine what that was like…..I was flying on my way to Phoenix and we were diverted to Omaha. I spent two and a half days there….not long in comparison to others…..it was a day I will never forget. / / / Today’s picks August 23rd 2009 / “And now that you’re in your room, CLEAN IT!!” / / “Go to your Room!!” / / / Also picked today….Aug, 23, 2009 / “All about Fire” / / As the nightmare of a delayed flight out of Philadelphia turned into two and a half hours I realized I wouldn’t make it home. / So I sat and looked at images…......This sweet image of red shoes made me realize that I had the power all along….all I had to do was click my heals together and repeat…................ / “There’s no place like home, there’s no place like home” / I can tell you now as I sit on my very own couch that this is TRUE!!
