  • Happy Cat Jac embodies the spirit of carefree fun with yet another optimistic leap for an elusive butterfly. This artwork will bring a warm and delightful atmosphere to any location you care to exhibit it and will no doubt be a talking point for friends and guests. Created by Australian Artist, TET, this acrylic and chalk pastel work, measuring 30×40cm, is available to purchase as a print. The Artist, David Arandle (otherwise known as The Extraordinary Tourist or TET), has sold work to collectors in nearly every state of Australia as well as locations such as the USA. David has also been commissioned to produce a number of artworks including his popular series of stylised works based on real cats. David’s work is sold almost exclusively online though on rare occasions he exhibits in local art shows in his home town of Gawler.

  • Do you ever get the feeling that your cat may not be as cute and gentle as it pretends to be. I have two cats, one is sweet but not overly bright and the second one plans the downfall of all other cats around her. I have this strange feeling that if you turn your back on her she would jump on internet and and look up plans on / “how to get rid of other pets and not get caught”.

  • Ok this thing would need to be huge and the forklifts would need to be a lot faster but this would be so cool. We could go outside in our break and do stunts and talk crap and have some fun. We could all stand around the edge spray painting the bowl and paying out on the other guys when they stack it. Actually we do half of this stuff without the skatepark.

  • Scratch, our Siamese, photographed with what would on a normal day be his dinner. Birds were shot at a local pet store and added in Photoshop. As the birds were photoraphed in cages, the bars they were behind had to be cloned out, and this took a lot of time and patience. Addition of shadows and direction of lighting effects were important factors to getting the image to look realistic.

  • One of my favorites. Our kitten, OJ, was shot on the earth filled flower pot. The rat was killed by another cat who dragged it into our house, and I decided to take it’s picture before giving it a proper burial. Used the same Elinchrom studio flash as with the kitten shot, hanging the rat by it’s tail from a tripod. The flowers were crushed and shot separately, and all 3 elements were put together in Photoshop. The idea for the picture came to me when, as I was looking at the original photo of the kitten on the pot, the rat was dragged in… I waited till everyone else went to bed before doing the rat shoot session. Direction of lighting and shadow effects were important to make the collage look realistic.

  • Schrödinger’s cat is a thought experiment, often described as a paradox, devised by Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger in 1935. It illustrates what he saw as the problem of the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics being applied to everyday objects. The thought experiment presents a cat that might be alive or dead, depending on an earlier random event. In the course of developing this experiment, he coined the term Verschränkung (entanglement). - from wikipedia
