These ‘stray’ Cats are being well looked after. Finding their new home in a small public garden they are being fed by the the people in the vicinity. Well used to strangers they continued with their nap while I clicked away with my camera!.

The cat may give a clue as to the real size of this garden.
Knitto Pinko submitted her resignation as head knitter to Farmer O’MacDonald a year ago. She decided that she no longer wanted to knit designs that she was in the least passionate about. Her dream was to have her own shop of knitwear, designed by her with 100% wool.Knowing her dream extended beyond the boundaries of this farm which she had grown so familiar with, she took on the challenges that awaited her outside nevertheless. There was no turning back since. Here she is…focusing so intently on this lovely pink knitwear for her new shop, Knitty Gritties :D /
Vincent’s Cat Recently I’ve been looking at Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings. I love his irises and wanted to paint some myself. Their complicated forms and brilliant deep blues captivated me. As some of you may know I have a fondness for cats. During my life I have had two exceptional ginger cats ‘Victor’ and ‘Mittens’ who were very dear to me; this is dedicated to their memory. This is a stylised coloured pencil drawing of our garden. The brick plant trough was built by my wife, but it’s straight – I bent it for effect :) Okay – not completely coloured pencil – I used blue acrylic paint for the sky :) The cat is a stylised version of our elder cat Mao (rhyming with cow and not with mayo). THIS HAS BEEN FEATURED IN FOR THE LOVE OF CATS GROUP – 11th July 2009
TAROT SERIES Original Available A4- £70 + P&P Finally I’ve made a start on my Tarot Project / I would like to do the full deck but will be starting with / the Major Arcana (this will probably take me some years / to complete, but you have got to start somewhere) I am deciding whether to do an all female tarot, whether this would work for divination purposes. As we all have male and female energies, I’m hoping to tap into this concept. / On completion, I will decide whether to add colour to the deck, again an important feature in representing energies and elements. I also need to think of a name for the Deck. / (Any feedback on these 3 ideas is most welcomed) Each piece will be an artwork in its own right (with its art and tarot title). When the deck is complete, I will add borderings to make them into the cards. My Inspirations will be Beauty, Nature, Modern Subculture meets Ancient Culture, My Dreams and Visions, The Devine Feminine / Hope you enjoy xx The Empress represents Motherhood and fertility, represented by the roses on her skirt and the soft invite of her petticoats. The crescent moon of her belt buckle represents, the waxing and waning of the moon and its links to fertility (the cycle of life). The cats are the children in this piece, in need of love, care and attention, but ultimately their own spirits and independant beings. The Empress has physical and spirtitual security, you can tell by her confident gaze she is mature and knowing. Loving and generous, she wears her heart on her sleeve and has one foot firmly in earthy matters and her spirit flying with Angels I want to thank my good friend Paul for picking up on the Crescent Moon Belt Buckle, something I was unaware of, that emerged from the subconscious and makes so much sense in the piece. / Paul’s Gallery-Gottheshot / Thank YOU xx Pen and Ink on Cartridge Paper This series is still in progress

But being as this is one kick ass kitty, the most powerful pussy cat in the world, and would bite your legs clean off, you’ve got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? This is another scene with my new “pet”, Alabaster the Cat, playing in the garden with a butterfly! Original is a inkjet collage background, then laser printed. Then a transparency film painted with acrylic paint had been cut out and also glued to the laser print background. Highlights in the hedge maze were then painted in acrylic paint. Then it is laser printed again. / Thanks to the ladies at the Nowra Copy Centre for their help with the laser printing during the year!
