Little Miss Innocent here looks like she’s not up to anything… but just wait till we’re not looking! She just loves to play in the water! Who could blame her? It’s lovely and cool in the hot weather and fish are fun to play with if you can catch them. Good thing the aquarium has a lid on now… she just chases through the glass now!

The Lynx…... this has got to be one of my favourites of the wild cats…..... (-: Lynx are usually solitary, although a small group of lynx may travel and hunt together. Mating takes place in the late winter and they give birth to 2 to 4 kittens once a year. The young stay with the mother for one more winter; and then, the young adults can live on their own. Lynx will have their dens in crevices or under ledges. They feed on a wide range of animals from Reindeer, Roe Deer, small Red Deer, and Chamois, to smaller, more usual prey: birds, and small mammals, like snowshoe hares, fish, sheep, and goats. The hunting of lynxes is illegal in many countries. The Iberian Lynx is critically endangered with extinction and the killing of any individuals has been outlawed since the 1970s in Spain and Portugal In 2000, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service designated the Canadian Lynx a Threatened species in the lower 48 states.

No fish were injured during the capture of this photo Hubby brought home two new goldfish for our outdoor ornamental pond today. But they are so tiny that I couldn’t bring myself to release them into our 90 gallon pool right away. The other three resident goldfish we have look like sharks next to these guys. / So I pulled out the goldfish bowl I keep on hand, and decided to at least let the pair spend the night inside, where I could keep an eye on them. / The cats had the same “concern” that I did! (Well, maybe not!) / But their interest made for a few fun captures. In this capture, reflections make it appear that “Flipper #1” is floating on his back; ready to give our tuxedo cat Bandit, a good smack with his flipper. Taken with my KODAK Easyshare ZD710 camera. ...Wait! I AM the bait! Hubby brought new goldfish home today that we can put in our outside ornamental pond. But they are so tiny that I thought we’d keep them in tonight and introduce them to the 3 other resident goldfish tomorrow. In the mean time it’s been fun watching the cats watching the fish. Makes me miss my Beta and our 20 gallon tank. This capture is of Chloe. She and Fudge were the first ones to greet the fishy pair today. Fudge got bored early on, but Chole only gave up when I finally slid the bowl out of the way so no one could stick their nose or paw inside.
