The Old Pier Castlerock / Northern Ireland
Originally designed by Earl Biship Hervey as a library and dedicated to his cousin, Mrs Mussenden, it perches precariously on the edge of a cliiftop on the North coast of Ireland. It boasts fantastic views of Downhill beach and the coast of Donegal from its west window, Castlerock beach and Porstewart from its east window , whilst the north window looks out to sea.
This sunrise over the Barmouth took me out of bed and down to the riverside to take these photos. The film is cross processed and medium format, and I’ve no idea where that little bubble of light came from, but I love it.
