Ever get the feeling that everyone’s staring at you when you get on that bus to work every morning? Well, I did (before I shed the shackles of the day job and became a freelancer at least!) and that’s what inspired this painting – commuters on the top deck, always curious to see who’s entering their domain.

I was exploring different ways of keeping the focus on the centre of the page and ended up with this little sweetheart. She’s a flirty little milk maid who’s dripping off the page. So the guy he was homeless right and he layered his suit pants and his suit shirts and all he needed was some shoes and a coat. So I bought him a suit jacket and shoes and he got a job. In Missoula Montana there are a lot of homeless people. I have been fortunate enough to make friends with many. I try to do what I can for people!
