  • Commuters
    by Rich Hinchcliffe

    US$5.27–US$140.60

Ever get the feeling that everyone’s staring at you when you get on that bus to work every morning? Well, I did (before I shed the shackles of the day job and became a freelancer at least!) and that’s what inspired this painting – commuters on the top deck, always curious to see who’s entering their domain.

  • Siamese Fighting Fish :)
    by Tom Godfrey

    US$3.85–US$102.60

First fish Freddy of the original Siamese fighting fish clan, blasts off in his bowl. His mission, to avenge the insults levelled at his earth cousins, by grumpy humanoids. Aggressive and down in the mouth, indeed! He would show them, the water in his bowl was adjusting for space flight, shimmering slightly as the shock wave passed and he entered orbit. Soon he would shut down the hyperlink wormhole drive, drift gently into suspended animation, and wait. He clutched his shoalshifter, armed with the latest IRBMs (inter-reef ballistic missiles) and smiled, not that anyone would have noticed. He drifted into a deep sleep, as his bowl iced over and sped towards earth… My offering in a three-way collaboration. ChrisW wrote the story, “Dinner With Fighting Fish” and will add a ref photo. If my image fits Chis’ concept, then master paintograher, Cliff Vestergaard, will weave his magic.

  • Inspired by a story from the Australian TV show, ‘Animal Rescue’. A stray kitten fell six metres down a drain pipe running down the side of a building and ended up in the drain somewhere below ground level. The rescuer cut open the drain, reached down and pulled the kitten out, holding it as you see in this picture – very cute and worthy of a painting! Acrylic on Canvas Stretcher, 50×60cm, August 2007

    by Nate Owens

    US$17.81–US$95.00

This digital painting of a cowboy in a predicament is published by a national company as a greeting card and other gift products (mugs, magnets, t-shirts, etc.) The card has a verse inside “hope things are looking up,” a satirical greeting of hope and well wishes to anyone going through tough times. Whether in a western setting, humorous or serious, it is a look at the way life sometimes puts us at odds with seemingly impossible situations… you either laugh or cry, and pray like crazy.
