Do you ever get the feeling that your cat may not be as cute and gentle as it pretends to be. I have two cats, one is sweet but not overly bright and the second one plans the downfall of all other cats around her. I have this strange feeling that if you turn your back on her she would jump on internet and and look up plans on / “how to get rid of other pets and not get caught”.
Roof Top Cats is a series of three related artworks of which this is the middle panel. In this panel we see two cats, clearly lovers, enjoying each others company in the evening light. Acrylic and Chalk pastel on canvas, 30×40cm, July 2007.
First fish Freddy of the original Siamese Fighting Fish clan, blasts off in his bowl. His mission, to avenge the insults levelled at his earth cousins, by grumpy humanoids. Aggressive and down in the mouth, indeed! He would show them, the water in his bowl was adjusting for space flight, shimmering slightly as the shock wave passed and he entered orbit. Soon he would shut down the hyperlink wormhole drive, drift gently into suspended animation, and wait. He clutched his shoalshifter, armed with the latest IRBMs (inter-reef ballistic missiles) and smiled, not that anyone would have noticed. He drifted into a deep sleep, as his bowl iced over and sped towards earth… My offering in a three-way collaboration. ChrisW wrote the story, “Dinner With Fighting Fish” and will add a ref photo. If my image fits Chis’ concept, then master paintograher, Cliff Vestergaard, will weave his magic.
Inspired by a story from the Australian TV show, ‘Animal Rescue’. A stray kitten fell six metres down a drain pipe running down the side of a building and ended up in the drain somewhere below ground level. The rescuer cut open the drain, reached down and pulled the kitten out, holding it as you see in this picture – very cute and worthy of a painting! Acrylic on Canvas Stretcher, 50×60cm, August 2007
psst psst… It’s subconsciously desensitizing you to vandalism… you just don’t know it yet / / / / / / / / / / / / / /
The Witching Hour…..either that ,or botox and too much smoking really isn’t good for your looks:) I drew this in pencil last night ,when I couldn’t sleep (not surprising with that in my head :)) and when I was completing it in Painter, I decided to leave a lot of the pencil work untouched, just to add a little freshness and contrast to the design. Anyway it was fun and one of the quickest Iv’e done. /

Santa had promised Mrs Claws that he would stop and take a cloud nap, at the first sign of fatigue, but that thought was far from his mind, when he was snapped back in his seat, then ripped forward as Rudolf increased power to overcome what he guessed must be turbulence drag. Poor Santa’s eyes literally popped out of his head with the sudden deceleration. Luckily he had modified his body, with a little off season genetic tinkering to cope with just this sort of eventuality. He had not survived for thousands of years without learning some very useful survival techniques along the way. He grinned at the image it must have presented, as his eyes recoiled and plopped back safely into their sockets. The presents were pulled slowly back into the sleigh, as the GPSS (Global Positioning Santa System) combined effectively with the microscopic magnetic linkers, built into the wrapping paper of the spilt gifts. He continued merrily on his way with no ill effects, save a slight twinge of conscience, knowing that the residents of Tjikavik would be without power on Christmas Eve. Well, the power lines weren’t there last year, he thought and he always like to do a low, high speed , fly past over the little hamlet. “Happy Christmas!” he yelled, in an attempt to make up for the power cut. Most of the windows in the tiny town shattered instantly with the sonic boom. He sped off, making a mental note to have a few words with the elf in charge of his Voice Magnifier.
Hopefully he gets more paint on the canvas than he does on himself …. / if you like this , please check out * / Kix / Ralphie Lil Britches*

I did this illustration in college for a children’s book I had written. Honestly, I don’t even remember the name of it. (I know, that’s bad of me…bad Steve, BAD!) I don’t remember it being all that good of a story anyway. Had something to do with a kid making a rocket ship, then going to space and having crazy adventures with space monsters. (Not exactly crazy-original).
Did this one a while quite a while ago. Back when I was in my early twenties… (Oh crap I’m getting old.) Who are the monsters? Why are they swimming on a faraway planet with a pot bellied little boy? Why did I feel the need to use so much marker on this piece? I don’t have the answers to any of that…sorry. Deal with it.
A pig, two dogs, a tiger and an elephant run to the front door.

This artwork was originally a painting i created, 75×100cm, although she had light brown hair and was no where near as smoky as this little hussybag!!! I jazzed up her photo in photoshop and she came out like this. One of my favourite pieces of artwork i’ve ever created, although i do wish i painted her like this in the first place, just so she could hang on my wall and remind me that i really do love to paint.

I decided I had to come up with a process by which I could help my art students learn to use other colors then BLACK for shadows…shadows are all colors combined … I feel you can learn how to move out of your “color comfort zone” by taking the ceiling off of your thinking…hold your nose and jump in! / This is from a crazy combination of a Red-Bone Hound I had many years ago and a crazy card someone gave me! / I had great fun painting this because like I told my students ..there were no rules, any color was acceptable, just fly, be free! This is an oil and acrylic painting, 16”X20” on gallery wrapped stretched artist canvas. / Thankis for viewing…
