There was a time once when I decided to take a break from the brush and do some illustrations. / This was the result of one such session.. “The Fat Duck Cafe”. I put the names of several famous old jazz clubs on his guitar case and even included one that is out of place but a few of you might know (The Gov and The Basement). - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - - - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -

In response to blamo’s (Tone) lighting a single red candle at midnight for Peace, this is my contribution… In 1863, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote these words: I heard the bells on Christmas Day / Their old familiar carols play / And mild and sweet the words repeat, / Of peace on earth, good will to men. I thought how as the day had come, / The bellfries of all Christendom / Had roll’d along th’ unbroken song / Of peace on earth, good will to men. And in despair I bow’d my head: / “There is no peace on earth”, I said, / “For hate is strong, and mocks the song / Of peace on earth, good will to men.” Then pealed the bells more loud and deep: / “God is not dead, nor doth he sleep; / The wrong shall fail, the right prevail, / With peace on earth, good will to men.” ‘Til ringing, singing on its way, / The world revolved from night to day, / A voice, a chime, a chant sublime, / Of peace on earth, good will to men! Peace on Earth is a 1939 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer cartoon short subject directed by Hugh Harman, about a post-apocalyptic world populated by animals.
