Location: Rancho Cordova California / Technique: HDR, Layering & Fractalized / Workflow: HDRd in Matix – Layered in Cs4 – Fractalized / Equip: Canon 5D OG A wee bit late and a couple too many drinks while editing this image. Actually scrolled down most of the color palette and basically did a “eeni meeni miny mo” to select a color (#3c240a) and worked off the selection, hence a very busy & cluttered image. Im thinking this is not gonna stay on the bubble very long. but this image did put a smile on my face because when folks say Dont Drink & Drive, It should also apply to Photographers Dont Drink & Edit!!! Below are the originals along with some much needed clouds from an image I shot in the Philippines. have always wanted to capture a big plane landing but could never be there at the right time or having the wind blowing in the right direction. The low clouds helps bring the plane closer than usual….i could almost touch it….hahhah. To see a hugh metal flying over you at approx. 200kph is…...priceless. The jetfuel, the noise…...Perfect. I am NOT a plane enthusiast , but it is fascinating to watch. Sydney “Kingsford Smith” Airport Boeing 747 landing train plane truck car chair Transportation
I’m finally at the end of my journey – and our final destination is Paso Robles (just 4 hours north of LA), yes, I’ve been to Italy, the Greek Islands etc, however, this is the biggy for me…. the West Coast Kustom Nationals – touted as the biggest and best kustom car show in the USA. And, can I say I’m not disappointed, it’s like swimming in a land of the best and coolest cars in the world, (pity I don’t have my 57 Cadillac with me).... Now this car is exactly as it appears here – not tricky Photoshop work at all… it has had 6 inches chopped from the roof and also the bottom of the car… It’s a driver and is actually staying at the hotel I’m staying at. As I’m writing this, I’m wearing a “Noble Fabrications” black T-Shirt given to me and my daughter as a present from the friendly driver. How cool is that! I am also photographing the 3-day event for an Australian magazine called “Hot Rod Revival” – so I’ll try and restrain myself and only upload one or two images as I don’t want to bore you all…. Anyway, how cool is this car!
sometimes we just do not choose to stop thinking thoughts that cause us deep pain and saddness. I know this to be true. One day after much help from the desire that was great in my heart to be relieved of such painful choices, I finally saw the light after many years of searching for my truth. / When I came to understand that my own choice of thoughts made me feel either good or bad I began to be conscious of my thinking and started to take full responsibility for my thoughts. What freedom I have discovered in taking responsibility for my happiness. I do not have to depend on people places or things to make a choice of a thought that feels a little better or a little worse or continue to think exactly what is causing my own pain. It is a daily practice and I am not perfect at it. Infact I can go for a few days with thoughts that are quite painful. But you know.. it beats years of it!! / Years to months to days to weeks to hours to minutes to NOW.. / I am shooting for IMMEDIATE GRATIFACATION.. TEE HEE…
my sister at her wedding (23.6.07)… / To achieve the soft focus on this photo I add a guassian blur to one of the channels (can’t remember which one), changed to sepia and then added a ‘soft light’ blending layer also a little dodging and burning… v. simple!
