A unique vision of Lewis Carroll’s ALICE by internationally acclaimed artist, Max Scratchmann.
Alice and the Cheshire Cat. I had this somewhat sketched out a few weeks ago. The girl only. I did not know where I was going with it…but I did know I wanted something involving Alice in Wonderland. But when the group Shanime, inspired by anime came up the the challenge Alphabet Soup it gave me the idea for what this piece has become. Within the piece are the words: “We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.” 9×12 / Inks. Glitter ink on her dress and shoes. Featured in: / Alice in Wonderland: May 2009
Oh what a lovely tea party.\ /

Alice laughed, “There is no use trying,” she said, “one can’t believe impossible things.” / “I daresay you haven’t had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” Lewis Carroll, Through The Looking Glass This work is dedicated to Margot Fonteyn whose work, life and talents I admire greatly. 8/12 From The Ice, Snow Painting Series/Experiments…. Thanks to Pryere – for taking these photographs. Music – Enya 11th February 2009
I think she’ll know… My own version of the hookah smoking caterpillar and Alice. 8×10.5 / Pens.
The original of this painting is in casein on paper, 11×17 inches. It’s based on a scene from Lewis Carroll “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” where the Royal Footman is delivering an invitation from the Queen to play croquet. In my version he appears to be lost somewhere in East Texas.

The Junes on the Saturday at the Queenscliff Music Festival 2007
Taken at the Queenscliff Music Festival 2007 on the Sunday. I waited all weekend to see them on the train. I was alright on the way up, but on the way back I sat on my legs and couldn’t get up!
