  • A Fish Out of Water
    by Carrie Glenn

    US$3.99–US$106.40

Featured on the Home Page / (Thanks Everyone!) My Work Is Featured in Pop Art / (Thanks Kitsmumma) My Work Is Featured in I ♥ Patterns / (Thanks Jemimalovesbigted & Natalie) There’s more ocean in fish than fish in the ocean… Nature is wise, but Mankind… just bumbling fools. Learn from the living, watch water in motion, Don’t waste your time staring at small stagnant pools. Fish are content to live their life in water, Water is after all their life’s element. There’s no need for them to be an “achiever,” Living, staying alive… that’s accomplishment. But there was one fish wanting something “better”, He wanted “achievement,” he wanted a “first.” He leapt out of water, fins in quick flutter, Taking fast to the sky… but soon died of thirst… / / Poem by Peter. • Portrait of Vincent Price
    by Carrie Glenn

    US$3.99–US$106.40

RedBubble Awards: Winner Of The Pencil Drawing Group Contest / ” Human Emotion “ Read the Write Up Here Visit The Pencil Drawing Group Here 5×8 Charcoal, graphite and ink on paper / There is hardly enough time or words to sum up Vincent Price properly. He was a teacher, an actor, a collector of art and a chef to name a few. He had a true philanthropists heart and was a man of many talents and a creative pioneer. He has left a fingerprint on our society and myself. In my portrait of Vincent, in every wrinkle I reproduced, in every mole I fastidiously drew and in every single hair I portrayed I see his achievements. There are many fine details in this portrait. You will see the veins in his eyes countered by the shine and drama I captured in them. You will see every wrinkle on his hand and every whisker in his mustache. It is designed to transport you back to the last film you may have seen him in and capture that vivid memory. As you study this piece you can almost hear his voice still speaking. • My Work Was Featured In Fantasy Art / (Thanks Everyone) Read the Collaboration of Written Work by Tony Hedger Part 2 of 2 / The way to get there is many in choice, / But a good first step is the inner voice. / By air, or water, by earth or fire, / Fairyland is your hearts desire. There you are free, all you can be, / And everything is real. / You could sit for a while, / Upon a sundial, / And chase the rays of the light, / You could float on the air, / Without any care, / Or fly with butterfly wings. / Buzz with the bees, and fly through the trees, / Float down with the falling leaves. You could go on a boat, / Through sparkling waters, / Made out of the shell of a tortoise. / Sit in the ring where the fairies all sing, / Drink, dance, fairy fling. / Diddle on the fiddle, play fairy in the middle, / Sparkle, shine, drink buttercup wine. / T’is close, you must believe, / Just follow the voice from within. • First Tree
    by Carrie Glenn

    US$2.85–US$76.00

Acrylic and pastel on illustration paper. (1995) This is truly the first tree I ever painted, the need to paint and create was something brewing so strongly inside I had to do something about it. Yet my resources were very limited, I grabbed the only paint I had any access to, a can of my father’s black spray paint, I sprayed it into the lid of the can and used the only paintbrush I owned a cheep nylon brush from a water color kit and created. I then finished my work with the only two pastels I owned brown and black. / Necessity is the mother of invention, or maybe it’s that there is more than one way to skin a cat. (Sorry cat lovers) At any rate I grew up in a home with very few luxuries but I did have a passion to create, always, I had to feed the creativity. So this is a very special piece to me and I hope to you as well. • Abigail's Friends
    by Carrie Glenn

    US$3.99–US$106.40

Excerpt from “Abigail’s Friends” written by Anthony Hedger illustrated by Carrie Glenn. ...“I think we better go back now.” She whispered to the butterfly. / “Why?” The butterfly asked. “It’s only my friends and they are having a special tea party just for you, come on and I’ll introduce you to them.” / “Er, ok, if you think I’ll be alright?” / “Of course you’ll be alright.” The red fox called to her. “Come on your tea is getting cold.” / So for the next two hours Abigail sat with Mr. Fox, Mr. Bear, Miss Rabbit, Ms. Blue bird and a hundred different butterflies and had tea and cake and chatted as though she had known them all her life. She gave each of them a big, big hug after and thanked them for making this the best birthday ever. / “Er, just before I do go home, how did you know it was my birthday anyway?” / “You could say a little bird told us.” The bear said gently and they all began to laugh…read more You can contact Carrie at: carrie@carrieglennstudios.com and please visit Carrie Glenn Studios /

The Grass Really Is Greener…. “The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person’s determination.” – Tommy Lasorda This Work Was Featured In Live, Love, Dream / (Thanks Bamgirl) Winner of the Today’s Best award, June 24th, 2008, at Zazzle / This is a new collaboration work I created inspired by a photo from one of my good friends Paul Hobday better known as Hobbers. • Holding the Future
    by Carrie Glenn

    US$3.99–US$106.40

This work is about the future that is inside of you. I was originally inspired to create this piece while I was listening to a speaker talk about how God sees us. That He sees us in our completed form; that there is a future YOU inside you right now. He sees all that you are capable of and placed that inside of you when He created you. / In my work I am conveying a majestic, tall oak tree, exists complete within a tiny acorn somewhere in the future. It’s the knowledge of the future that is the key to unlocking it and releasing it. So be aware of your potential and Hold on to YOUR future. “Something very small and average has the potential to be very great.” / - Carrie Glenn Hand drawn and created images based on photos (my own) airbrushed and painted with tools in Photoshop. • Color Floats
    by Carrie Glenn

    US$3.99–US$106.40

The original is 42×32 in acrylic and mixed media (including metallic and porcelain paint) on canvas; sealed with wax. / In this piece my attempt was to create riveting color combinations and captivating eye movement. I used a variety of mediums to achieve a wet and dry look. Select portions of the canvas appear as wet paint and dramatically contrast the airy and light spaces, which does seam to make the “color float.” This was a commissioned project designed as a focal point to tie all of my client’s glass artwork collection together perfectly. My client was thrilled with the outcome and receives many generous compliments on this bold work. / Original SOLD / For commissioned work you can contact Carrie at: carrie@carrieglennstudios.com and please visit Carrie Glenn Studios /

  • Portrait of Louie Armstrong
    by Carrie Glenn

    US$3.99–US$106.40

Charcoal, graphite and ink on paper. My inspiration for this piece is Jazz, pure soulful and uninhibited jazz. Easy and yet complex were the sounds that drifted from Louie’s trumpet. From his trumpet playing to his rich vocals, Louie’s music is a great inspiration to me. I try to capture his depth of character and defined talent through my portrait. I created countless layers of meticulous details conveying everything from the veins in his hands to his handkerchief and the gleam in his eyes that says, he loves what he does. My goal was to truly capture Louie’s soul. ...I can hear his voice singing the song “What a Wonderful Life”...every time I look at this image, which is what inspired me to draw this piece. Enjoy! • Siblings
    by Eyal Nahmias

    US$4.99–US$133.00

A young Ecuadorian girl is carrying her baby brother on her back. Such a sight is not uncommon in South America, where kids as young as six or seven attend to their younger siblings needs while the parents work. • Daybreak
    by Carrie Glenn

    US$3.99–US$106.40

/ Digital Painting and mixed media. / This abstract artwork was inspired from some of my photos featuring a large farm tree and a beautiful countryside. I created it in Photoshop with my photos and many, many other effects, layers and some original painting as well. In this work I really wanted to create a peaceful ambiance and something very natural and calming. I saw it first in a vision, I saw a large tree being surround by lightness and flowing soft colors. I call it Daybreak for the light that seams to be on the tree branches and the soft blue hues of color like the morning mist surrounding this earthen beauty, just before daybreak. / / You can contact Carrie at: carrie@carrieglennstudios.com and please visit Carrie Glenn Studios /
